1950

McManus also initiated a church building fund, but before an adequate amount has been acquired,Bishop Molloy in 1950 assigned him to St Augustine’s parish in Brooklyn.

1953

In the spring of 1953, amid mingled feelings of sorrow and gladness, the first step towards building a new church was taken.

1956

1956: In 1956 the current owner, William G. Schams, Jr., purchased the company from his father.

1957

During 1957, the newly created Diocese of Rockville Centre assumed jurisdiction over St Joseph’s parish.

The new rectory, located on Fifth Street just west of the new church was not ready for occupancy until 1957.

1959

Through the generosity of the dedicated parishioners, by 1959 the indebtedness on the new church and rectory had been reduced to $50,000.

In the spring of 1959 the people of St Joseph’s were asked to make the necessary sacrifices to accumulate a minimum fund of $300,000 to begin work on an addition to the school and to replace the old convent.

1960

On October 2, 1960, Bishop Walter Kellenberg honored St Joseph’s Parish by appointing his Vicar General, the Right Reverend Monsignor Vincent J. Baldwin, V.G., S.T.D., J.C.B., to be its pastor.

By the early 1960's, St Joseph Equipment expanded its offering to include the Massey Ferguson industrial line.

1962

On July 26, 1962, the beloved pastor was consecrated the first Auxiliary Bishop of the Rockville Centre Diocese and Titular Bishop of Bencenna.

1965

1965: St Joseph Equipment moved into its first building in 1965.

1970

On January 1, 1970, the company was incorporated and its name was changed to St Joseph Equipment, Inc.

1978

1978: Massey Ferguson terminated its offering of heavy industrial equipment in 1978; therefore, St Joseph Equipment became a distributor for Case and Ford.

1992

1992: In 1992, St Joseph Equipment added locations in the Minneapolis and Duluth, MN markets, giving it a total of three locations selling and servicing construction equipment.

2000

2000: July 2000 saw a new agricultural facility completed across the street from the old, which now additionally houses the corporate offices.

2004

2004: In January of 2004, St Joseph Equipment acquired Rochester Ford Tractor in Oronoco, MN. The Rochester facility handled both agricultural and construction equipment.

2011

All Construction Markets were sold in June 2011 to Titan Machinery.

2012

By April 2012, St Joseph Equipment acquired Degenhardt Implement in Norwalk, WI.
