JOB SUMMARY: Action Environmental is currently looking for field technicians for our growing office. This position will require a hardworking, hands-on, safety conscious work ethic. Technicians are responsible for providing cleaning, vacuum, flushing, and blasting services in the following industry types: power plants, steel manufacturing, transportation, plastics, food and beverage, utilities, pharmaceuticals, pulp & paper, paints & coatings, wire & cable, oil refining, chemicals, seed production. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in practical and manual activities on a daily basis.
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that health and safety standards are achieved, including but not limited to wearing all protective safety equipment
Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects
Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: blasting equipment, vacuum trucks and hoses, etc
May require work in confined spaces, elevated spaces, hot, wet, cold, and foul smelling environments through an 8-12 hour shift while holding the various sizes of vacuum hoses.
Work in environments with Hazardous Materials and excessive noise levels
Work extended hours, evening, and weekend work, as well as work out of town for extended periods of time, when mandatory. Because of the emergency response and operational nature of the position, a continuing condition of employment is that this position acknowledges and agrees to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and on occasion will require work during weekends and holidays

DOE (Design of Experiments) evaluation and Training:
Coordinate the DOE schedule with all relevant departments and train all individuals who enter production space with the regulations related to entry routes, entry attire.
Train and distribute information on standards & regulations related to dress code, entry accessibility, acceptable equipment materials to all workers regularly in order to maintain the level of foreign matter control.
Establish and manage a job training program for all manufacturing processes, procedures and techniques; document work standards (guides, SOPs, etc.), for new operators, technicians and engineers in various areas of defect engineering. Provide technical support as needed.
Quality Evaluations and Inspections:

Essential Functions - Engineer I

3.25.1 Molding
3.251.1Molding Engineer must have relevant working knowledge of injection molding. As well as being capable of leading the molding department, strategic planning, insourcing, establishing tool maintenance and PM's, dryer knowledge, etc. This position will have ultimate ownership of all molding activities in the plant.
3.25.2 Tooling Facilitator / CNC
3.25.2.1Tooling Engineer is specifically responsible for supporting our tool room activities and coordinating tooling personnel. Supervision experience in a tooling environment is a must along with cost estimating, materials and processes selection, tooling management, equipment acquisition, etc. This position also performs primary support of all CNC activities in the plant and makes decisions on selection of best cost machining tooling and processes.
3.25.3 Welding
3.25.3.1Welding Engineer must have relevant working knowledge of Mig and Tig welding. They must be capable of giving direction to weld technicians, training, selection and cost justification of equipment, and have overall ownership of all welding activities in the plant. They must also be instrumental in determining proper PM's and maintenance of welding equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical
Perform work generally under the direction of the licensed professional engineer who is stamping the project and in concert with senior engineers
Manage other design professionals as assigned
Perform structural analysis and design through hand calculations or computer modeling, as
directed
Perform structural detailing with assistance of senior engineers as need
Responsible for all technical aspects of assigned tasks and projects
Assists team members and senior engineers in development or oversight of following as directed:
Selection of project materials and structural configurations
Preparing general notes and selection typical details for projects
Preparing structural specifications from Master Specifications
Coordinating structural design with architectural and other engineering disciplines
Delivering project documentation and calculations on schedule and within budget
Provide construction contract administration services including answering RFI's, reviewing shop drawings and submittals as directed
Perform site observations and prepares written reports of observations as directed
Author reports of diagnostic investigations and other studies as directed
Support other senior engineers on larger projects
Continuously review work and processes to improve efficiency
Conduct peer reviews of other projects
Seals own work and work of others under direct supervision as requested by senior engineers
Develop and present content for internal technical training
Participate in company committees for development of processes and maintaining standards
Continuously review work and processes to improve efficiency
Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Supervisory
Assist with creating project work plan including tasks with budgeted time for each task and assists in managing team workload
Assist in planning and leading structural design work sessions, both internal and external
Assist in managing and directing design team members to a successful project completion
Assist in coordinating tasks for design team and reviews work for acceptance
Assist leadership in staff performance evaluations as requested
Client Liaison
Attends client meetings as requested
Documents and reports meeting discussions
Business Development
Engage counterparts with external project contacts and develops and grows networking relationships
Attend networking events, open houses, and industry events
Assist in developing work plans for project pursuits
Participate in project pursuit interviews, as requested
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Educational, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
BS in Architectural or Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis) from an EAC/ABET accredited program, required
MS in Architectural or Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis) from an EAC/ABET accredited program, preferred
Minimum of six (6) years of experience (may be reduced with MS degree and/or SE license)
Must have been conferred a PE license in state of residence (structural designation)
Successful completion of the NCEES Structural Engineering exam (16 hours) preferred
Expert in Bentley RAM Structural System or Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) and related program modules
Autodesk Revit and BIM 360
Skills
Must have strong working knowledge of applicable building and reference codes
Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Must have experience working with concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel, masonry, and wood

Design and develop machine control systems and tooling to support new product development, product improvements, capacity expansions, and equipment rebuild projects. Focus areas will include but are not limited to: * Controls programming

Essential Functions:
* Drives the engineering design process (concept, design, drawing creation, build, document), installation, PPAP, and long-term technical support of the manufacturing processes. This will include meeting quality, capability, cost and time targets.
* Develops and implements capital or expense projects. This will include:
* Researching new and established manufacturing technologies
* Planning the capital and time needed to implement the technology
* Writing CER (Capital Expenditure Request) proposals to be reviewed. Upon project approval, this engineer will be responsible for:
* Procuring the necessary equipment.
* Installing it in the manufacturing plant.
* Meeting cost and time targets.
* Participates in product and process design reviews. The position is responsible for helping to improve the quality of the product while lowering the cost to produce it.
* Evaluate new and current product process and provide input regarding manufacturability and cost.
* Support installation troubleshooting and PLC/Robotic/CNC programming on new or existing machines.
* Assure that all applicable quality and safety standards are met for new and existing processes.
* Travel as needed to other Brake & Wheel End facilities for process improvmenet/implementation as well as evaluation of potential suppliers.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education and Training:
* Bachelor's degree in a related technical area is required (Mechanical or electrical engineering preferred).
Minimum Qualifications
* 2+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, 8+ preferred.
* Professional experience in manufacturing engineering in an automated CNC environment is desirable.
* Formal training in CNC machining is desirable.
* Candidate must demonstrate an ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and GD&T.
* 3D modeling experience is required.
* Hands-on experience in tooling & fixturing methods is required.
* Experience in procurement of manufacturing systems and equipment required.
Physical Demands
* Frequent sitting, work at a computer for extended periods of time
* Must be willing to travel to Hendrickson manufacturing facilities on an as-needed basis
* Must be able to work hands on with operations to validate designs & concepts.

Responsibilities:
Apply ergonomic and safety standards across processes, equipment, and facilities
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using data and analysis

Qualifications:

Proficient in applied math and statistics (probability, statistical inference, geometry/trig; fractions/percentages/ratios)
