Job Purpose
Responsible for activities and area goals through qualification, deployment, and sustaining at the component and finished product level.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support production monitoring with in-process test execution and trending.
Define appropriate alert and action limits based on process performance.
Maintain effectiveness of manual test methods through training and certification process.
Assess equipment and process for ergonomics and safety.
Partner with appropriate vendors to design tooling for production fixturing.
Identify system-process interactions using standard tools (p-diagram, SIPOC, VSM).
Design or modify existing equipment and fixtures for usability and robustness in manufacturing.
Maintain equipment related documentation (manuals, drawings, specifications).
Complete line replication and re-qualification activities to support demand, including at key suppliers.
Maintain risk documentation (PFMEA) for new failure modes and mitigations.
Coordinate with Planning to manage build schedule and material allocation per demand.
Provide guidance and training to operators on engineering and V&V builds, as needed.
Confirm team comprehension of builds requests, redlines, and special instructions.
Develop sustaining cost model for lab supplies, consumables, fixtures, and spare parts.
Collect time measurements and process videos to baseline headcount needs.
Provide voice of manufacturing to ensure successful transfer from R&D to production.
Remediate build documentation for clarity and standardization.
Develop hands-on training materials for critical processes and equipment (pipetting, etc.).

Complete change impact assessment to align implementation plan for proposed changes.
Evaluate and implement 2nd source vendors for manufacturing supply risk.
Define appropriate lot size and packaging format for raw materials to scale with demand.
Integrate external and internal processes to optimize end-to-end supply chain.
Transfer peripheral processes and subassemblies to contract manufacturing sites.
Manage manufacturing activities and project execution with external vendors.
Support communication, collaboration, and strategic relationship with key suppliers.

Requirements
Qualifications
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or scientific discipline required
Minimum 8-12 years related experience, including years of higher-level education (MS, PhD)
Experience in design of experiments and statistical tools (ANOVA, t-test, etc.)
Experience with Fishbone, A3, 5Y, and other root cause investigation tools
Strong understanding of process interactions (inputs, outputs) that are both technical and system related
Expertise with scaling manufacturing processes to commercial volumes
Experience with budgeting, cost management, modeling, and preparing business proposals (ROI, NPV) for new initiatives seeking executive approval
Strong understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 quality and regulatory standards
Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies (preferred)
Experience with design for manufacturability concepts and product development lifecycle (preferred)

The Project Engineer/Takeoffs Specialist supports project managers, estimators, and field teams by preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, assisting with project documentation, and coordinating technical aspects of construction projects. This role ensures plans are interpreted correctly, quantities are precise, and project information is organized and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed digital takeoffs for grading, paving, concrete, and site improvement scopes.
Quantify materials including earthwork volumes, aggregate, asphalt, concrete, rebar, forms, and other related items.
Review plans, specifications, addenda, and RFI responses for changes that impact quantities. Prepare drawings and sketches to support change orders and estimates to meet changing job requirements.
Assist estimators with bid schedules, proposal preparation, and subcontractor/vendor quote comparison.
Organize and update takeoff files to ensure traceability and accuracy.
Work closely with Project Managers to assist with buyout, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and job startup documentation.

Assist with or lead the development of electrical design concepts, specifications, and calculations for various building types, including multifamily, commercial, retail, industrial, and life science projects, in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Create electrical layouts, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and system drawings for power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure coordinated and integrated electrical system designs.
Support continuous improvement of electrical design efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while maintaining safety and compliance..
System Analysis:
Perform or support load calculations, voltage drop analysis, short-circuit calculations, lighting calculations, and coordination studies, as appropriate to experience level.
Assist with evaluating energy-efficient technologies and sustainable design strategies for electrical systems.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare detailed electrical drawings, plans, and specifications for construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
Generate technical reports, project documentation, and compliance materials as required by project and regulatory standards.
Project Management & Coordination:
Support or lead coordination of electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines.
Participate in project meetings and internal design reviews.
Review and coordinate electrical drawings prior to transmittal to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning related to electrical tasks.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct reviews to ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Collaborate with internal quality assurance processes to verify performance and safety of electrical installations.
Client Engagement (Mid- to Senior-Level):
Communicate effectively with clients and project teams regarding electrical design questions.
Support responses to RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications as needed.
Professional Development:
Stay current with industry trends, electrical codes, and emerging technologies.
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in electrical system design.
Requirements:
Electrical Designer / Junior Level:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
Basic understanding of electrical building systems and construction documentation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
Electrical Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in electrical design for building systems.
Working knowledge of the California Building Code and California Electrical Code.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Senior Electrical Engineer:
Extensive experience in electrical engineering within the building industry.
Strong knowledge of California codes and jurisdictional requirements.
Ability to lead projects, coordinate across disciplines, and mentor junior staff.
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in California preferred but not required.
Familiarity with sustainable design practices and energy efficiency is a plus.

This candidate will be responsible for the development of next generation ground system solutions within the Mission Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Determine customer needs and develop approaches, implementations, components, and interfaces, while identifying standards and constraints, civil requirements, and security needs in the software deployment of the system.
Survey the industry for awareness of customer needs and alternative systems.
Lead trade studies, technology development, and subcontractor teams.
Lead technical and cost proposals
Write white papers describing the offerings and provide leadership and/or direction to software integration and deployment, test leads and engineering team.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. Once established in role, the position could potentially offer a hybrid work environment. Scheduled telework days are approved at manager's discretion. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
