**Description**
As a formal verification engineer working the complete formal verification for single or multiple design blocks and IP's (CPU, Cellular and Connectivity IP, Audio and Image Processing IP, Neural Networks IP, Memory/DMA Controller, Security IP, Peripheral IP, Interconnects, Power management subsystems, etc.), you will be responsible for:
Working with Apple Silicon's world-class Security Enclave design engineers to develop a formal micro-architecture specification
Developing comprehensive formal verification test plan that includes unique security requirement verification

Accountable for the Node Hull structural design and integrity.

Coordinate closely with engineering and product teams to advocate for customer needs and influence roadmap direction.
Participate in field visits, flight tests, and design reviews as needed (up to 30% travel depending on customer test schedules and integration timelines).
Build long-term technical relationships and trust with engineering stakeholders and decision-makers at key customer sites.
Recommend solution architectures that demonstrate Sightline's value and technical advantages.
Support for DoD Demonstrations and Field Events
Support end-user engagements, including live demonstrations, operational test events, and technical experimentation.
Provide onsite technical expertise during field activities; assist in setup, execution, and troubleshooting.
Cross-Team Collaboration and Downtime Support
Contribute to internal knowledge bases, integration documentation, or support tools as needed.
Help identify technical patterns or trends that inform support processes and product improvements.
Primary Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineeringor related technical field, or equivalent hands-on integration and field experience.
Experience
5+ years of experience in field applications, systems engineering, sales engineering, or technical sales roles.
Familiar with IP networking protocols (TCP, UDP, DHCP) and video streaming systems.
Customer Support
Demonstrated ability to engage heavily in the pre-sales solution design and to technically support that engagement through all phases of the customer lifecycle.
Excellent communication skills - capable of translating technical concepts to business value and vice versa.
Comfortable working independently with strategic customers and cross-functional internal teams.
Ability to obtain a Part 107 license once hired.
Location & Travel Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Must be located within a reasonable distance of our offices in Portland and Hood River, Oregon.
Willing to travel to customer sites (up to 30% of the time.) Travel is primarily pre-planned and within the United States, but there are some cases where travel may be international.
Ability to obtain a valid passport for travel requirements.
Beneficial Experience (preferred, not required)
Experience in real-time video processing, embedded systems, camera systems, or autonomous platforms.
Strong foundation in embedded systems, C/C++ software, and hardware/software integration.
Understanding of UAV integration, avionics, or payload deployment.
Familiarity with circuit board schematics, FPGAs, or system-level signal flow.
Salary and Benefits
Estimated salary range for this position is $95K to $120K annually, depending on experience.
Compensation includes salary, 11 paid holidays, PTO (20 days earned over the first year), health insurance (100% Sightline covered for HDHP with HSA), dental, vision, life/disability, 401K match, Sightline paid OR PFMLI coverage, schedule flexibility, parental leave, and education reimbursement.
