The Mechanical Engineer supports the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for heavy industrial machinery. Manage annual capital projects and review plans for timing of justification and implementation of equipment as well as the design and construction. Work collaboratively with design, marketing, purchasing, and other key groups during product development to guide design for manufacturability with current and potential manufacturing capability. This position reports to the Manager, Application Engineering and manages the technical relationship with SKF's customers, working closely with the MRO Repair Center and MRO leadership. The role will also coordinate with Sales and Customer Service as part of the accounts responsible team. Responsibilities include assisting the MRO team in growing the bearing aftermarket business through technical engagement with customers, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and assisting with bearing functional investigations in the field and at the MRO Repair Center.
