The role of the senior civil engineer is to work independently on small and large projects, as well as a team member for more complex and larger projects. AECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Construction Engineer to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Administer a Construction Quality Management Program (CQMP) on assigned projects. Provide advice, solutions, and assistance to the Construction Manager on technical matters requiring knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods.
Review Contractor Quality Control (CQC) and Safety plans for completeness and compliance with the terms of the construction contract. Provide review comments together with recommendations for improvements. Continually monitor contractor execution of both the CQC and Safety programs, providing corrective information as necessary.
Inspect construction work on a recurring basis to assure that the work complies with the construction contract documents. Assist the Construction Manager and Quality Assurance Manager in preparing Contract Construction Compliance Notices (CCCNs) in cases where workmanship and/or material are not in compliance with the construction contract documents or ongoing work is liable to result in unsatisfactory construction.
Assist with processing contractor submittals and requests for information including progress schedules, utility outage requests, shop drawings and O&M manuals for accuracy and compliance with the terms of the contract.
Assist with the review of contractor requests for payment by comparing the monthly invoice to the field pay estimate worksheet and most recent progress schedule.
Coordinating and monitoring all utility work with various agencies including the Contractor to enhance the completion of the project.
Prepare and process construction contract "closing-out" documents.
Assist in document management and project controls support, including maintaining electronic document control systems and project files/documentation.
Attend preparatory meetings and participate in the 3-Phase inspection process required under the contract.
Qualifications

Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Project Controls Lead to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
May supervise a Project Controls team in effort to maintain schedules, cost controls, forecasting and Change management in all level reporting.
Coach, monitor, and assist project controls team for various project assignments.

Monitor Key Performance Indicators, such as earned value, cost, and schedule performance, estimate to completion, and project end dates.
Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures. Maintains tracking database to ensure that subcontractor funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures.
Read and understand client contracts and subcontracts, particularly related to scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Coordinate with project management team to ensure all procedures are in place to meet contractual requirements.

AECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Quality Assurance Manager to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall on-site administrative and technical Quality Assurance Management program for a wide range of Site Civil construction activities.
Responsible for the organization and direction of the construction Quality Assurance inspections and related activities within assigned areas of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area, or a multi-discipline Civil construction project.
Interact and be the primary contact for all inspectors and jobsite day to day quality assurance inspection functions and coordinate with client's resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
Attend and/or support meetings and teleconferences as required, including preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records. Experience in conducting meetings to resolve problems on construction projects, and briefing DOD clients and management personnel.
Notify the client's resident representatives of critical issues that may affect the CMS Task Order performance and/or human health and environment.
Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance Program and ensuring construction installation and activities are in compliance with design and specifications and industry quality standards.
Provide a review of the construction contractor's submittals for completeness and compliance with the specification requirements while monitoring the Submittal and RFI review process.
Provide technical consultation and direction as appropriate to lower-level technicians and inspectors.
Conduct inspection and investigations and tests that are of considerable complexity, such as of the contractor's on-site plant (storage yards and temporary facilities), materials and equipment, to provide an opinion or recommendation to the appropriate Government employee(s) as to whether they are in full compliance with contract plans, specifications, EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements.
Serve in oversight of final inspections, preparation of final punchlist and determination as to the completeness and acceptability of the Work.
Prepare, resolve, document, and close out all deficient and noncompliant construction installations and Maintain the Quality Trend log.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable field related to the overall project tasking plus 4 years of relevant experience
Due to the nature of the project, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Requirements:
No less than ten (10) Years of relevant experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing, to include five plus (5+) years of quality assurance / quality control management and on-site inspection of DoD / Site Civil construction projects.
Prior experience leading the QA/QC and inspection of major site infrastructure, horizontal sitework, vertical construction replacement and modernization projects.
Certified completion of a professionally accredited Quality Control Management Course (e.g. conducted by the US Army Corps of Engineers) within the last five (5) years.

is seeking an experienced
Environmental Compliance Project Manager
to join our EHS + Air practice within the Environment Business Line. The primary emphasis of the group is to support clients with their EHS regulatory compliance needs for a variety of federal, municipal, and private-sector clients.
This hybrid position can be based out of our Houston, TX, Fort Collins, CO or Minneapolis, MN offices.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and be responsible for the following:
Managing and executing environmental compliance, auditing, and due diligence projects for clients in the consulting industry.
Supporting EHS business development efforts, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, to grow our environmental compliance work with existing and new clients.
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients to enhance client retentions and growth.
Mentoring junior staff and leading project teams for environmental compliance work.
Contributing to meeting the practice's financial goals.
The successful candidate will have

Experience with multi-media environmental regulatory compliance experience (e.g., CWA, RCRA, CAA, etc.) and its application (i.e., conducting multi-media compliance audits and providing corrective actions; developing environmental compliance plans, SOPs and programs; supporting permitting and associated obligations, etc.).
Demonstrated experience managing clients and supporting EHS business development efforts, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, to grow our environmental compliance work with existing and new clients.
Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of the project from proposal through execution to close, to include financial and contract management (i.e., developing proposals/cost estimates, managing clients, projects, and project teams; coordinating resources and managing subcontractors; etc.).
Ability to independently manage various environmental compliance projects and programs ranging in size and scale.
Ability to manage and mentor junior environmental professionals to execute various compliance projects.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology or relevant environmental discipline.
6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education of technical experience in managing environmental due diligence assessments, environmental multi-media environmental regulatory compliance (e.g., CWA, RCRA, CAA, etc.) and its application (i.e., developing SPCC/SWPPP plans, preparing NPDES stormwater and wastewater permits, conducting multi-media compliance audits and providing corrective actions, developing environmental compliance SOPs and programs, etc.).
Valid U.S. driver's license is required for this role.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of multi-media environmental regulatory compliance experience (e.g., CWA, RCRA, CAA, etc.) and its application (i.e., conducting multi-media compliance audits and providing corrective actions; developing environmental compliance plans, SOPs and programs; supporting permitting and associated obligations, etc.).
Prior environmental consulting experience with either Federal or private-sector clients is highly desired.
Demonstrated experience conducting third-party multi-media audits for clients as a consultant.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills; extremely proficient in technical writing; highly effective organization and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to act independently on technical matters pertaining to environmental regulatory compliance and environmental due diligence.
Ability to prioritize multiple demands, think strategically and successfully lead multiple simultaneous projects.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to support business development efforts, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, to grow our environmental compliance and environmental due diligence work with existing and new clients.
Professional certification (e.g., CHMM, PE, CEP) and/or PMP certification.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Construction Inspector to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection of Contractor's Work. Provide inspection of work in place, and review of the construction contractor's submittals, to provide an opinion or recommendation to the appropriate Government employee(s) as to whether work is in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications. This will be included in the Daily Report of surveillance activities in the USACE Resident Management System (RMS). Reports will be entered into RMS and submitted via email to the project engineer daily.
Inspection of Contractor's On-Site Plant, Materials and Equipment. Provide inspection of the contractor's on-site plant (storage yards and temporary facilities), materials and equipment, to provide an opinion or recommendation to the appropriate Government employee(s) as to whether they are in full compliance with contract plans, specifications, EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements. This will also be included in the RMS daily report.
Site Progress Tracking. Review project schedule, check field progress against the contractor schedule, and report to client any delays from the approved baseline. Provide site progress on schedule activities to PM, Project Controls Manager, and Scheduler for updates.
Attend preparatory meetings and participate in the 3-Phase inspection process required under the contract.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma + 6 Years of relevant experience in construction practices, procedures, and testing, and large Site Civil DoD construction projects.
Due to the nature of the project, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Requirements:
Up to 90% of the time the position needs to move about indoor and outdoor construction site environments with uneven terrain, variable environmental conditions including heat, dust, noise, moisture, and dryness.
Occasionally (10-25% of workday) performing repetitive bending/stooping, repetitive or fine hand movements, working at heights, and lifting and carrying equipment weighing less than 25 pounds.
At times the position requires working with arms above shoulder level, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), climbing stairs, using portable ladders, wearing fall protection, working in confined spaces, and lifting greater than 25 pounds.

Lead on-site delivery of construction management (CM) services and manage a staff of CM professionals as necessary.

Implement CM schedule, cost, quality, communication, decision-making, and information tools and processes across the project.

Monitor the contract progress and make recommendations to the client for contractor payments.
Work to build a cooperative partnership between client, contractors, and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.
Demonstrate effective risk management and mitigation practices through proper risk identification, assessment, tracking, and communication.
Responsible for the enforcement of contract documents including plans and specifications.
Understanding and/or development of start-up and commissioning plans and identifying associated resources as necessary.
Maintain electronic document control systems and project files/documentation.
Attend preparatory meetings and participate in the 3-Phase inspection process required under the contract.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture + 2 Years of relevant experience in construction of large Site Civil, DoD construction projects.

Understanding of design specs and drawings.

Your Opportunity
Stantec's Colorado Construction Management Group is looking for a highly motivated Project Manager with strong heavy civil transportation construction experience. This role has the flexibility to be based anywhere in Colorado!
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to monitor and report on the work being executed on site by the construction contractor(s) and their sub-contractors to assist our clients in ensuring the work is being executed in accordance with the construction contract. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a team that typically consists of project controls, construction inspectors, and administration staff. The Project Manager may participate in pre-construction activities supporting engineering, estimating, logistics, and execution planning related activities from a construction perspective. The Project Manager will advise the client on any issues or risks observed and provide recommendations on proposed remedial actions for client's approval.
At the direction of the client, the Project Manager may also lead portions of the construction execution planning processes including but not limited to: communications management, reporting requirements, change management, project controls, scheduling, quality management, risk management, material management, environmental management, regulatory permitting, and logistics associated with the field construction operations that will take place for the project. The construction execution planning exercise will be coordinated with the client, the construction contractor(s), and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager will provide pre-construction development support of execution strategies and assist in constructability reviews.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Provide construction management leadership to the project team in support of the client.
* The PM will serve as Stantec's lead employee on a contract providing CM oversight services to a government agency.
* Manage a diverse group of employees and subcontractors to execute a contract.
* Monitor and reporting function will include making recommendations on proposed remedial actions for client's approval. The PM does not have authority to make these decisions independently without client approval.
* Provide Health and Safety Leadership for the work and will assist with development and implementation of the project specific safety plan to be developed and approved by the client/construction contractor(s). This also includes monitoring and reporting on the contractor(s) for compliance against Health, Safety, Security and Environmental project requirements. The monitoring and reporting task is typically delegated to site health and safety representative by the PM.
* Project management of multiple concurrent projects.
* Solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
* Participate and collaborate in project team setting. Engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicates ideas, design issues and solutions to others.
* Lead the preparation and coordination of the project deliverables and documents including project reports, cost and schedule reporting, specification reviews and recommendations, and production of engineering documents.
* Monitor contractors work for compliance to schedule, budget, technical specifications, and legal requirements.
* Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of the project.
* Review contractor request for change and when appropriate, assists in the preparation of contract change orders/modifications.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Valid driver's license is required.
* Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
* Primavera skills are desirable.
* OSHA certification is preferred.
* Technical expertise in relevant areas of design and construction and understanding of various methods.
* Thorough knowledge of construction management, practices and methods, costs, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques.
* Highly effective in building and maintaining client relationships
* Understands legal design and construction requirements for public works contracts.
* Thorough knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards.
* Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
Your Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field. Candidates with a non-technical degree will be considered based on experience.
* Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Colorado is required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
* 10 years' experience in heavy civil transportation construction projects, 5 of which were in a leadership role.
* Colorado Department of Transportation and/or Local Agency project experience serving as the Project Engineer or Assistant Project Engineer is preferred.
This position will involve work in an office environment in addition to long-term field assignments working at a construction site.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range:
* Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas-$107,100.00 - $160,700.00 Annually
* Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$117,800.00 - $176,800.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
