Essential Functions:
* Under direction and in accordance with established standards provides direct patient care.
* Serves as lead worker
* Assist physician with rounds.
* Reviews member medical records to assure that physician orders are posted, medication and member care treatment and observations are charted.
* Verify number and classification of staff available to assign/reassign.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Requires (a) graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate or diploma degree in nursing and two years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience; OR (b) a bachelor's degree in nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; OR (c) a master's degree in nursing.
* Requires licensure as a RegisteredNurse in the State of Illinois.
Conditions of Employment:
* Requires ability to pass a background check.
* Requires ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
* Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
* Requires ability acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
* Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
* Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
* Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.

The CRC will help residents de-escalate, stabilize, and connect to community resources catered to their individual mental health and substance use treatment needs. This is a full-time, overnight 80-hour biweekly position scheduled to work six 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 pm-7:00 am, and one 8-hour shift, from 11:00 pm-7:00 am.
This position will also work some holidays. The hiring range for this position is $68,620 to $80,620, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
As a Crisis Services RN, you will:
Conduct nursing assessments for admissions to Withdrawal Management and Crisis Residential Programs and for direct transfers to Inpatient Psychiatric Units
Conduct additional nursing assessments for clients in Mental Health Units as needed and respond to medical emergencies
Perform nursing tasks such as getting prescriber orders, completing MARs, administering medications, completing withdrawal management assessments and some case management activities within the ASAM Level 3.7 Medically Managed Withdrawal Management Residential at the CRC.
Perform point-of-care testing and some phlebotomy as needed
Complete nurse-to-nurse consultations as needed.
Review relevant medical documentation (lab results, hospital discharge paperwork)
Assist in decision making related to client admissions
Provide nursing support to prescribers
Facilitate groups related to medications & medical issues
Assist clients in medication self-administration within Crisis Residential as needed
Ensure accurate medication lists, medication administration, & medication observation records
Assist clinical staff with integrated assessment & treatment plan process
Participate in team meetings, shift change meetings, etc. to ensure continuity of care for clients across shifts.
Consult with staff, clients & their families regarding medical & medication issues
Complete work in a manner to support site compliance with medication administration, storage & disposal
Refer clients to appropriate resources as needed
Participate in emergency response activities as assigned
Requirements
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE : Completion of either an Associate's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two years of nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Current RegisteredNurse license from the State of Illinois, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and previous crisis psychiatric nursing and substance use/withdrawal management nursing experience preferred.
Good knowledge of practices and principles of nursing within psychiatric and substance use populations; good knowledge of relevant social and economic factors influencing client behavior; good knowledge of local health resources; good knowledge of medical records preparation and maintenance techniques. Working skill in instructing others in treatments and practices; working skill in maintaining medical documentation; working skill in delegating and assigning work to others; working skill in analyzing client needs; working skill in verbal and written communication; working skill in developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers; working skill in operating a personal computer, applicable software and peripheral equipment.

The Crisis Recovery Center
The Crisis Recovery Center (CRC) is the critical next step in DuPage County Health Department's decades-long journey to build the infrastructure needed to support a best-in-class behavioral health system and ensures all DuPage County residents will have "someone to contact, someone to respond, and a safe place to get help" when experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The CRC will help residents de-escalate, stabilize, and connect to community resources catered to their individual mental health and substance use treatment needs. The building design and operations will ensure individuals and their families feel welcome, respected, and secure throughout every step of their care. The CRC serves as an alternative to hospital emergency departments and simplifies access to crisis care for all individuals, families, and first responders. Job Details
This on-call position requires working at least three shifts per month, as needed, with the opportunity to pre-plan or pick up last-minute shifts. The preferred candidate will have weekend or overnight availability (7 am-7 pm). 8-12-hour shift coverage is also preferred.
T he flat rate for this position is $39 an hour. Eligible overnight shifts qualify for an additional $2.50 hourly shift differential.
Responsibilities
As a Crisis Services RN, you will:
Conduct nursing assessments for admissions to Withdrawal Management and Crisis Residential Programs and for direct transfers to Inpatient Psychiatric Units
Conduct additional nursing assessments for clients in Mental Health Units as needed and respond to medical emergencies
Perform nursing tasks such as getting prescriber orders, completing MARs, administering medications, completing withdrawal management assessments and some case management activities within the ASAM Level 3.7 Medically Managed Withdrawal Management Residential at the CRC.
Perform point-of-care testing and some phlebotomy as needed
Complete nurse-to-nurse consultations as needed.
Review relevant medical documentation (lab results, hospital discharge paperwork)
Assist in decision making related to client admissions
Provide nursing support to prescribers
Facilitate groups related to medications & medical issues
Assist clients in medication self-administration within Crisis Residential as needed
Ensure accurate medication lists, medication administration, & medication observation records
Assist clinical staff with integrated assessment & treatment plan process
Participate in team meetings, shift change meetings, etc. to ensure continuity of care for clients across shifts.
Consult with staff, clients & their families regarding medical & medication issues
Complete work in a manner to support site compliance with medication administration, storage & disposal
Refer clients to appropriate resources as needed
Participate in emergency response activities as assigned
Requirements
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE : Completion of either an Associate's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two years of nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Current RegisteredNurse license from the State of Illinois, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and previous crisis psychiatric nursing and substance use/withdrawal management nursing experience preferred.
Good knowledge of practices and principles of nursing within psychiatric and substance use populations; good knowledge of relevant social and economic factors influencing client behavior; good knowledge of local health resources; good knowledge of medical records preparation and maintenance techniques. Working skill in instructing others in treatments and practices; working skill in maintaining medical documentation; working skill in delegating and assigning work to others; working skill in analyzing client needs; working skill in verbal and written communication; working skill in developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers; working skill in operating a personal computer, applicable software and peripheral equipment.

Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire an independent, highly organized, and detail-oriented licensed RegisteredNurse for the Kiley Developmental Center located in Waukegan, Illinois. This position will be responsible for performing direct nursing care for people with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, including providing work-related guidance, instruction, and explanation to lower-level direct care support staff on an assigned shift. The successful candidate shall demonstrate a good oral and written communication skills, be a self-starter, and be able to carry out nursing assignments pursuant to the direction of medical personnel.
Essential Functions
Provides professional nursing care services on assigned shift.
Provides work-related guidance, instruction, and explanation to lower-level direct care support staff on an assigned shift in the care of individuals, injury reduction, health and safety, hygiene, treatment, procedures and the use of equipment.
Serves as designated lead worker to lower-level staff.
Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

The Special Education District of Lake County is a comprehensive special education cooperative providing services for students with disabilities preschool through age 21. Nursing services are provided on a building based, itinerant and/or one -to-one basis for students with significant medical issues.

Performance Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
All SEDOL registerednurses should be able to work in any assignment within the SEDOL community. SEDOL will provide training and assure all nurses have appropriate skills prior to making assignments. All nursing assignments are made based on the needs of the students. Bachelor's prepared registerednurses will be expected to attain the RN-IEP designation or Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification within 2 years. The nursing assignments at SEDOL may require travel. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Coordination:
1.Administer a coordinated school health program in cooperation with the school nurse.
2.Collect and analyze epidemiological and other school health information.
3.Assess the health and safety needs of the school environment; implement bloodbornepathogens control and reinforce universal precautions.
4.Participate in maintaining school health records and promote compliance with health-related regulations such as immunizations and school physicals as outlined in the IllinoisSchool Code and by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
5.Participate in the development of health-related policies and procedures in compliancewith state mandates/current health practices in cooperation with the school nurse.
Clinical Practice:
1.Provide direct nursing services, first aid, illness, and emergency care to students includingnursing assessment, identifying health problems, making referrals for diagnosis and treatment,recommending educational modifications, providing follow-up and evaluation, and maintainingappropriate documentation.
2.Administer medication, routine tests and/or treatments in accordance with SEDOL's policyand procedures.
3.Maintain accurate medical records and documentation including immunizations, physicalexaminations, and medical conditions.oDevelop individual health care plans for students requiring special nursingprocedures during the school day.oComplete a Health History for students having a case study evaluation and aHealth History Update for those students having a three-year evaluation inconsultation with the school nurse.
4.Provide health information and counseling for students, parents, and staff.
5.Recommend modification of school programs for students who may require changes dueto their medical status. RN-IEP designees may provide educational recommendations to the IEP educational team based on student's health needs.
6.Make appropriate assessments and referrals for suspected abuse/neglect as a mandatedreporter.
7.Accompany students on mobility trips as indicated by their medical status or IEP.
8.Provide nursing assistance to others in the department: 1:1 nurse, SEDOL program nursesand agency nurses.
9.A registerednurse may be assigned as a 1:1 nurse, if the IEP team determines that astudent is so medically fragile that continual monitoring of health needs and/or equipment isrequired. This 1:1 assignment may also include the bus trip to and from school.
Health Office Management and Communication:
1.Maintain an organized and efficient health services facility.
2.Maintain communication with administrators, teachers, other school personnel, andparents/guardians to enhance cooperative action which will meet the health and safety needs ofstudents.
3.Communicate with and act as a liaison between the home, school community health agenciesand the private medical sector to enhance the health and wellness of the school community.
4.Participate in staffings, case reviews, annual reviews and parent conferences. Attend facultymeetings.
6.Work with community agencies for effective use of their resources and facilities.
7.Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the nursing coordinator and/or principal/sectorsupervisor.
Professional Development:
1.Participate as a member of professional nursing organizations and utilize continuing educationopportunities to enhance professional knowledge in both nursing and education fields.
2.Participate as an active member of the school community representing health/wellness.
3.Will maintain state licensure by meeting the Continuing Education Requirements.
4.Provide staff education about students' medical needs as needed.
5.Maintain good daily attendance.
6.Attend monthly nurse's meeting.
7.Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator for the betterment of the program and district.
Salary: per FY25 $44,799 - $72,440 (FY26 contract under negotiation), based on education and experience.

Position Overview
The RN1 is part of the Newborn Screening Follow Up Program, a fast-paced, high volume, critical program with 6 day operations Monday - Saturday. Newborn Screening Follow Up Program is located in the IDPH Office of Health Promotion, Health Assessment and Screening Section in Springfield. As part of a cohesive team, under general supervision of a newborn screening nurse manager and in conformance to established standards, policies and procedures, RN1 provides professional nursing services in the care and case management of patients diagnosed with or suspected to have a newborn screening condition. Documents physician orders, treatment modalities, referrals, diagnoses and other case management activities in patient charts located in the newborn screening data system and national newborn screening data repository. Conducts initial interpretation of laboratory results to determine critical care level needed for the patient; prepares laboratory documents which include analyte values, reference ranges, units of measure, and needed subspecialty medical referrals.

Essential Functions
* Provides professional nursing services in the care and case management of patients diagnosed with or suspected to have a newborn screening condition.
* Conducts initial interpretation of laboratory results to determine critical care level needed for the patient.
* Provides medical guidance and recommendations to health care professionals regarding the urgency of care needed based on but not limited to test results, age of newborn, feeding type, gestational age and other treatment factors.
* Works closely with the medical care teams and subspecialty centers to coordinate and develop patient medical care plans.
* Assists the newborn screening nursing supervisor and data manager with compiling diagnostic screening data for assigned disorders.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
* Requires graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate or diploma degree in nursing or a bachelor's degree in nursing.
* Requires licensure as a RegisteredNurse in the State of Illinois.
Preferred Qualifications
* Two (2) years' clinical experience in a maternal/child, pediatric or nursery setting.
* Two (2) years' experience working with case managers or direct experience with case managing patients in a clinical setting.
* Two (2) years' experience working with electronic medical records.
* Two (2) years' experience communicating laboratory test results.
* One (1) years' experience working with the Microsoft suite of programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
