This includes being familiar with deciduous and permanent dentition. Be able to name teeth based on the modified Triadan system. Familiarize yourself with the normal occlusion of dogs and cats. Be able to identify the anatomy involved in local blocks used for dental procedures. Learn the most common problems seen in veterinary dentistry. Learn the treatments involved with tooth resorption and when they should be applied. Observe exodontic procedures and the use of flap procedures. Observe endodontic procedures when cases are available; understand when endodontic procedures are recommended.
