Have a strong desire and intent to join the Good Samaritan nursing team post-graduation.
Be able to work 30-40 hours (8-hour to 12-hour shifts) a week for the duration of the 8-week internship, including night shift.
Attend all days of required orientation. An orientation is scheduled during the week of the start of the program for those new to Good Samaritan, if unable to attend a prior orientation offering.
Selected applicants can transition into the year-round Student Nurse Extern program and will also receive the Good Samaritan Foundation Nursing Scholarship upon successful completion of the internship. This $10,000 scholarship supports the completion of nursing curriculum, provides a paid NCLEX Review and NCLEX exam fee, and includes a two-year work commitment to Good Samaritan Nursing.
