What You'll Do as a Supply Chain Specialist:
Draft, refine, and maintain project-specific contract templates, ensuring flow-down of mandatory prime-contract clauses.
Lead and/or support negotiations on high-exposure purchase orders and subcontracts, balancing commercial terms with risk mitigation.
Serve as the first point of legal escalation, partnering with corporate counsel to resolve complex or disputed issues quickly.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (or equivalent military/industry experience).
Required: 2+ years of hands-on negotiation experience with sizeable contracts.
Preferred: 3+ years in commercial/transactional law or contract management.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

ABOUT THE ROLE
This internship is for Summer 2026.
The Supply Chain Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supply planning, purchasing, and inventory management. The role will report to the Director of Supply Chain with an aim to optimize multiple site and supplier inventory stocking methods and will contribute to bottom line cost savings, operational efficiencies, and improved customer service.

• Partner with cross-functional team-members to understand and document current state and to compile recommendations.
• Develop new processes, tools and training materials and share across organization.

Auditing our purchasing department's current supplier stocking settings and developing tools and processes to refresh and sustain changes.
Developing new reports and planning alerts to optimize our inventory turns and customer service level (production expedites, plant redeployments, product lifecycle management, etc.).
Supporting strategic project advancements of our MRP execution and plant scheduling.
Qualifications
