This position is in support of the Sentinel Program aka Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist. This position is in support of the Sentinel Program aka Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract. This position will be located in Roy, UT and a standard 9/80 work schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. A hybrid arrangement may be considered for this position.
The purpose of the Program is to replace the current ICBM system, including the weapon systems command and control; flight, launch and ground systems; and cyber elements.
This position will perform end-to-end subcontracting activities, inclusive of Request for Proposal creation based on Program and Customer requirements, proposal analysis, source selection, negotiation or pricing/terms and conditions, creation of award and modification justification packages compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations and Company PrOPs, supplier management and formal subcontract closeout.

Basic Qualifications:
SUPPLY CHAIN SUBCONTRACT SPECIALIST (LEVEL 2)
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance plus 2 years of experience supporting procurement function; or 0 years experience with Master's Degree
PRINCIPAL SUPPLY CHAIN SUBCONTRACT SPECIALIST (LEVEL 3)
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance plus 5 years of experience supporting procurement function; or Master's Degree plus 3 years of experience of same; or PhD plus 1 year of experience of same.
BOTH LEVELS
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Demonstrated skill and ability to perform professional tasks
Strong organizational skills
Problem solving aptitude to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Responsible for optimizing all supply chain activities to support strategic objectives. Uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. Balances forecasts of customer demand against inventory levels, supplier deliveries, and production schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for reviewing MRP, sales forecasts, and customer orders while proactively compiling, monitoring and managing inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels recognizing shortages and deficiencies. Will be required to adjust planning parameters to match bill of material needs to successfully meet supply timelines.
Assembles data, analyzes performance, identifies problems, and develops recommendations which support supply chain management planning and operations.
Develops and maintains databases to prepare reports for the supply chain team.
Leverages problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions in a creative way.
Identifies underperforming areas in the supply chain and suggests improvements or resolutions to problems.
Prepares finding reports, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text, PowerPoint or other presentable formats.
Develops, optimizes and constantly reviews safety stocks and inventory levels to align with company goals and objectives.
Works to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
Works with the purchasing department to determine lead times of the supply and optimum lot sizes. Identifies lot sizes that will minimize inventory carrying costs, freight and overhead expenses.
Regularly works with Production, Reagent Production, Purchasing, R&D, Customer Service, Sales, Shipping, and QC to ensure customer needs are met.
Creates Production Order packets and sends them to the Production Supervisor, Reagent Production Supervisor, or Shipping Supervisor so product can be manufactured. Creates, assigns, receives, and back flushes Production Orders.
Identifies Production Order part shortages, prepares purchase requisitions, and submits requests to Purchasing with expected quantity and delivery schedule so raw material and finished goods can be purchased.
Recommends improvements to process, working conditions, and the flow of information.
Participates in daily, weekly, and monthly planning meetings as necessary to understand and communicate priorities.
Participates in and helps oversee annual physical inventory.
Assists with related special projects, as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or similar discipline.
Three years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
APICS certification preferred.
Advanced to expert level Excel skills.
