Position Summary: The Network Engineer will support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Applied Digital's network infrastructure across data center and corporate environments. This mid-level position is ideal for a technically proficient and motivated individual with experience in Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols, and network hardware. The Network Engineer will contribute to the ongoing reliability, scalability, and security of our systems while gaining exposure to advanced infrastructure in advanced computing environments. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of networking hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Support implementation and troubleshooting of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel). Monitor network performance, assist in diagnosing connectivity issues, and contribute to incident response efforts as part of the NOC team. Participate in network documentation efforts, including diagrams, inventories, and runbooks. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement network security measures including ACLs, VPNs, and firewall rule changes. Assist with new site deployments, hardware refreshes, and capacity expansions in collaboration with the infrastructure and operations teams. Provide hands-on support during maintenance windows, network upgrades, or outages. Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively detect and report issues and support change management procedures. Contribute to the testing and rollout of network automation scripts and standard configurations. Stay current with evolving technologies, tools, and best practices in networking. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. 4 plus years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise or data center networking environments. Working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, DHCP, NAT, and VLANs. Familiarity with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or Fortinet. Basic experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetBox, etc.). Effective communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently or under the guidance of senior team members. Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or CompTIA Network+. Summary: The primary function of this position will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of the company's hybrid cloud network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based network environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across the hybrid cloud infrastructure.
