The Junior Network Services Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the University's network infrastructure and systems. This position works closely with other members of the Network Services team, assisting in day-to-day tasks as needed. This is a full-time position that works a 40 hour per week schedule and will occasionally require overtime and weekend hours. On-call participation during university closures and events is compulsory.

Responsibilities
Assist in the administration of applications and servers, including installation, patching, and troubleshooting.
Assist with user account management.
Support end-users by resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and assist in the implementation of adjustments to ensure optimal network operation.

Physical Requirements

Working Relationships

Work Schedule
IT Services is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m
. Summer
hours may vary. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary. Occasional work on Saturdays and evenings may be required. On-call participation during university closures and events is compulsory.
Travel
Some travel may be required for supporting our campus at Greer. In addition, there may be training opportunities where travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company as an Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) on our Aeronautics Field Sustainment team! This position will support the Finnish Air Force at Rovaniemi AB, Finland. As a Nose to Tail (NTT) FSE, the preferred candidate will be a subject Matter Expert(SME) in Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures. It is desired the individual also be an emerging authority in APG/Vehicle Systems (VS) and Avionics/Mission Systems (MS), with the skill set to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of VS, MS, or SLO.
The candidate will act as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team's technical interface to the on-site Customer (both Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities include:
•Accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of difficulties experienced in the field.
• Attend debriefings, to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that require company intervention to avoid aircraft downtime.
• Document all unusual operational / maintenance problems to ensure the company is apprised of and can identify emerging failure trends.
• Initiate Action Requests (ARs). Identifying unique operational problems that require technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions to resolve. Provide on-site assistance to company and Customer personnel initiating ARs.
• Provide training to Customer personnel.
• Must be able to work with and interact with the maintainer as well as the professional engineers from other F-35 companies as a peer.
• Applicant must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with customer personnel at all levels.
• Provide support for the assigned site on aircraft ground maintenance and operational limitations.
• Direct on-site support as requested by customer, site manager or program management. Lead and track multiple engineering and provide periodic status to Customer and Program Management.
• Some travel required; candidates must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to the Continental United States (CONUS), Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) and hazardous duty locations. Long term deployments may be required. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required.
• Must be able to obtain F-35 Special Program Access. Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance with an investigation/CV date within 5 years. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that will require special access.

Maintain accountability to lower tier technical team members to assist with escalations that stretch beyond the tier 1 and/or tier 2 scope of support
Provide mentorship to lower tier technical team members
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with:
Customer line-of-business (LOB) applications and common applications like web browsers and Microsoft Office
General network connectivity including ISP
Common networking technologies such as DHCP and DNS
Wireless network performance and accessibility
Remote access technologies including VPN, RDS, and Citrix
Operating systems on servers, desktops, and laptops
End user iOS and Android mobile devices
Common peripherals such as printers
Complete technical administrative tasks such as:
Virus/malware removal
Add/remove/change virtual server resources
AD/365/application password resets
Work closely with client business unit managers and IT users to assess organizational IT requirements and training needs and develop strategies to implement and support hardware and software tools
Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets for them
Make recommendations for improvements of supported hardware and software
Engage vendors, 3rd parties, and client subject matter experts (SME) as needed during the troubleshooting process
