Position
The Linux SystemsEngineer owns the operating environments that run robotic platforms and supporting infrastructure. This role builds, configures, hardens, and maintains Linux systems across embedded devices, edge compute, and on-prem or cloud servers. You will manage deployments, networking, system performance, security controls, and automation pipelines that ensure reliability at scale. * Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade network and computer systems.
* Configure and manage new and existing network systems.
* Participate in after-hours maintenance of network and server infrastructure
* Monitor the performance of the network and troubleshoot any problems such as slow performance or network crashes.
* Diagnose and fix problems or potential problems with the network and its hardware and software systems.
* Perform preventative tasks to ensure network system's integrity.
* Collaborate with individual departments to assess and implement the necessary hardware and software needs.
* Able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
* Work with individual users who are having network problems that are not experienced by other users.
* Develop, install, and maintain an emergency systems back-up process for the main network servers.
* Keep records of all problems and errors as well as the steps taken to solve the problems.

Minimum Qualifications
* Associates Degree required
* 3+ years in IT may be substituted for degree requirement
* Minimum of three (3) years' experience in network and server administration

* Network Certifications are recommended. Some common network administrator certifications include those from CompTIA (Network+, Server+), Cisco (CCNA), Microsoft (MCSA), and Juniper (JNCIA)
* Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
* Working knowledge of mobile devices and O/S; Android, Apple, Windows
* Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience with Server, SAN, & Network Switch hardware
* Experience with IP telephony
* Ability to install, support, and troubleshoot server and PC hardware components and peripherals
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
