Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Mortgage Lending Systems Specialist include administering Veridian's loan origination solution, administration of users in numerous mortgage systems, integration of systems to create efficiencies, and report management. The Mortgage Lending Systems Specialist creates and maintains documentation on system processes and trains staff on systems as needed.
Essential Functions
Administer Veridian's mortgage loan origination system (LOS) including test systems and child sites. Work with third party business partners to insure the LOS is updated routinely and being fully utilized.
Maintain interconnectivity between the mortgage LOS and other relevant systems including: online applications, servicing solutions, flood solutions, credit report solutions, verification solutions, appraisal solutions, mortgage insurers, investors, e-sign solutions, etc.
Work with business partners and mortgage lending staff to document procedures. Responsible for training mortgage lending staff on systems, and providing support to staff/members on systems. Keep system procedures updated and current with new releases and changes in processes.
Create, maintain, and update mortgage lending reports as requested by management.
Administer system security: determine user rights within systems, add and remove users, password resets, etc.
Maintain mortgage lending systems including test systems and child sites. Conduct due diligence prior to new releases, compliance/regulatory updates, and system changes. Perform research on system issues/member noise and drive to resolutions/solutions.
Assist management in the selection of new technology solutions or partners. Work with management to prepare systems for regulatory updates, as well as systems changes resulting from audit or compliance findings.
Implement work processes to prevent future deficiencies by improving loan quality. Provide education regarding deficiencies to lending staff.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, a related field or equivalent education/experience and 5-7 years of related work experience
* Experience with automation development and scripting tools
* Proven ability to write and interpret code (Python, JSON, YAML, PowerShell, Terraform, Azure Bicep)
* Proven ability to deliver Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Azure Bicep, Terraform, CloudFormation)
* Ability to scan and resolve code standardization issues
* Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role (i.e. M365, AWS or Azure Engineer).
* Strong understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps processes and automation of services.
* Proficiency with modern platform container concepts (i.e. Docker and Kubernetes).
* Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Harness, GitHub, Snyk, Nexus, SonarQube, Kubernetes).
* Experience with Cloud Deployment Automation and Orchestration tools (PowerShell, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Azure DevOps, CodeBuild/CodePipeline/CodeDeploy, Step Functions)
* Demonstrated strong understanding of API's and API Security
* Demonstrated ability in automated code testing.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to research new solutions, and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to apply critical thinking to business demands.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Holistic understanding of the internet and hosting from the network layer up through the application layer.

Compensation
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $112,000 - $130,00 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves on capital, competitive, and maintenance design projects by checking designs submitted by contractors, issuing approved projects for construction, and participating in the creation of conceptual transmission line designs and routing.
May collaborate and review designs created by other Engineers and Associate Engineers.
Prepares cost estimates, material requisitions, specifications, and drawings for internally designed projects.
Responds to inquiries from Planning or other departments related to existing or future transmission line and substation projects in the ITCT and METC footprints.
Participates on a work team of Transmission Line Design Engineers.
Participates in work group policy development, policy implementation, negotiation, and resolution of issues.
Collaborates with other engineers and departments which may include consulting, managing projects, developing standards, organizing resources, or maintenance.
Provides technical support and recommendations to field personnel and contractors for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of system components.
Provides expertise for projects and committees regarding technical and non-technical matters related to design engineering.
Generates internal and external reports on various facets of transmission system.
Attends meetings and training sessions to increase professional knowledge and skills.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
Engineer - minimum of two (2) years of related experience,
Senior Engineer - minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Knowledge of electric utility system operations, planning, protection, design, construction and/or maintenance functions preferred.
Structural and/or Geotechnical coursework preferred for civil engineering majors.

Power system coursework preferred for electrical engineering majors.
