Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. #MC Responsibilities The Program Analyst will provide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on program support to the Technical Capabilities Directorate. Responsibilities include working with government and industry partners across the trilateral (US, UK, and Australia) nations to support the development of an Australian technical authority. This position includes technical and administrative support of program wide activities including risk management, scheduling, strategic advising, budget management, technical assistance, and event coordination. This position is located at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA but requires frequent travel to the Washington Navy Yard (WNYD) in Washington, DC. There is some opportunity for up to ~15% travel to partner and industry stakeholder locations. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree * 5+ years of government or military related experience * Ability to work on-site at SPA HQ in Alexandria, VA up to full time with frequent local travel to the WNYD based upon the needs of the client. SPA has an immediate need for a SSBN Program Analyst for Safety Support in Alexandria, VA. #MC Responsibilities SPA is seeking an outgoing, detail oriented, self-starter to provide support to the Principal for Safety Support within the Team Submarine program offices. The Program Analyst will provide analytic, technical, and management analysis support to undersea platform acquisition activities, focusing on submarine modernization and risk management. The analyst will serve as a trusted asset and advisor to senior client leadership, developing detailed analytic products, distilling and crafting complex briefings and decision support tools, and coordinating analytic efforts across critical stakeholder organizations. Specific areas of responsibility include: * Provide engineering and technical support services for the oversight, analysis, evaluation, maintenance, and review of submarine modernization risk management and documentation. * Coordinate the review of Hazard Analysis Report (HAR) documentation with the TYCOMs, Planning Yards, SUPSHIPs, NAVSEA technical codes and field activities. Assist in comment resolution. * Maintain Hazard Analysis Report (HAR) requests in the appropriate data information systems. * Provide In-Service Program Manager weekly metrics and status of all HARs with NAVSEA for review and approval to support Program Manager and other related reviews. At the direction PM, issue all HAR documentation for initial NAVSEA technical review and comment. Coordinate the review and assist with resolution of comments between reviews of all HAR documentation sponsors thru approval.
