Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Flexologist will assess the client's mobility and educate the client on stretching techniques to help keep them as mobile and limber as possible.

Be able to discuss, recommend, and help promote future visits and membership options with clients
Manage client care by delivering a best-in-class stretching experience, updating client notes consistently, encouraging regular attendance with recurring appointments and suggesting relevant client ‘stretch homework'.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and required educational presentations, complete all continuing education as assigned

Core Function:
Mainframe Tech Support performs mock testing during non-production cycles, coordinates completion of change records, interfaces with the customer on nightly client monitor questions and issues related to daily run cycles They perform system health checks, execute TSSR requests, Access, correct, coordinate, and adjusting batch processing errors from the OPC (Mainframe Tivoli Workload Scheduler) Abend Queue for the client. Provide Disaster recovery testing, and develop repeat abend documentation. Mainframe Tech Support is also responsible for working with the storage team and customer to correct storage space abends and performing PDX promotes and demotes as per client requests. Works hand in hand with MF operations, Storage team, both customer and end-client support teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Take turnover from Dayshift Tech Support Operator and will review the nightly Turnover report for activities or functions that might require Technical attention. For example, jobs being placed on hold awaiting a call from Development to be released.
Check the OPC error Queue for any jobs in error through entire shift and communicate with Operations for any job abnormalities and extended running time.
If Tech cannot correct the job in error, the abend will be escalated to BFS Development for remediation. Once the Programmer calls back with the fix, Tech will implement it, or, make the necessary corrections to the JCL and restart the job from the required step via OPC, based on where the job error occurred.
COMMUNICATION: Tech remains in the chat with Operations / Pune / Peers / Distributed Systems/ ODS for any other OPCB errors or Technical related requests.
Tech takes calls throughout the night from the BFS COE / CIT / Help Desk Groups for Client related requests and late files impacting job processing
Tech informs the Team Lead onsite of any Abends sharing major Client impact immediately, as well as, other abends that might be in error over (15) minutes.
Tech will address / update any outstanding ITSM Tickets generated, as well as, send ITSM Hot items to the Team Lead to enter into the BFS Turnover for discussion at 9AM for follow up / resolution.
Repeat abends will be added to the repeat abend report and ongoing issues will be sent to Bob Barrett via email for additional follow up.
Tech executes Change records during weekend maintenance window which affect IPL's and their associated SLA Deadlines.
Tech should have Storage knowledge of reallocating files for batch and more critical Online Files.

Provide direct academic services for students with disabilities. The Adaptive Technology Specialist's main function is to manage the Adaptive Technology Lab including its day-to-day operations and year-long planning and needs.
Example of Job Duties:
Under the direction of the Director of Academic Support, the Adaptive Technology Specialist is responsible for effective performance in these essential duties:
Collaborates with Director of Academic Support and Disability Services Lead.
Maintains Adaptive Technology Lab and all adaptive technology hardware and software and develops processes and procedures for AT Lab.
Manages communication and collaboration with academic and student services departments regarding testing-related accommodations for students with disabilities.
Assists in the implementation and use of the Accommodate software on campus for faculty and students.
Develops accessible materials for students, faculty, and staff.
Coordinates alternate location testing appointments with students and instructors.
Proctors tests for students needing academic accommodations including assessing which adaptive technology tools are appropriate for use and helping students to self-regulate as needed.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position is to start in the Fall semester. This is an hourly position with a work schedule of up to 28 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00am- 3:00pm. Alternating Fridays and Saturday with the work schedule 9:00am- 4:00pm. Flexibility is needed.
POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $16.50/hour. No benefits.

Job Description
User IT Support -On-site or remote support for IT-related hardware and software issues. -Technical support for business applications such as MS Teams, MS Office, Trellix (security solution), and internal systems such as GSI and PiLOS.
-Setting up, configuring, and maintaining user devices, including laptops, printers, and
mobile devices.
-Installing, configuring, modifying, and performing minor repairs on hardware and software
as needed (Format, Zebra printers, PCs, scanners, handheld terminals).
-Managing VPN access for remote users, supporting password resets, installation or
reinstallation, and ensuring smooth connectivity to the internal network.
-Diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, and local
network connectivity to maintain business continuity.
-Providing warehouse operations support via phone or live chat in case of technical issues.
-Supporting users during the onboarding/offboarding process to ensure a smooth transition of

IT Asset Management
-Maintaining up-to-date inventory and documentation of IT assets and configurations.
-Managing the inventory and tracking of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, and other IT
equipment in offices and warehouses.
-Reviewing new requests for all IT assets or accessories.
-Obtaining quotes to determine the best purchase option after comparing prices and
specifications.
-Verifying all items upon arrival and ensuring delivery to the correct location.
-Handling the procurement process for IT equipment, including laptops, network equipment,
and peripherals needed for office and warehouse environments.
-Ensuring proper allocation and maintenance of equipment and maintaining records of asset
lifecycle (deployment, upgrade, repair, disposal).
-Collaborating with vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of purchased
equipment.
-IT Documentation and Reporting
-Maintaining up-to-date documentation of IT assets, licenses, procedures, and configurations.
-Creating user guides or quick reference materials for common tools or procedures.
-Generating regular reports on weekly Helpdesk activities.
Part Time Technical Assistant (Ceramic/3D) - Art Department - Nassau Community College
Technical assistant job in Garden City, NY
Technical Assistants will provide assistance to the department chairperson and faculty in the operation of ceramic/3D laboratories in conjunction with instructional courses as well as general assistance in those areas necessary for the operation of the laboratories. Will make minor repairs and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment, recorders, projectors, microscopes, etc. Assists faculty members in the Operation of audio-visual equipment. Assists in laboratory experiments for instructional purposes. Maintains records of equipment issue and use, as well as material and supply stock levels. Assists in the preparation and administration of laboratory examinations.
Requirements:
Associates Degree or sixty (60) credit equivalent when enrolled in a Bachelors Degree Program in Fine Art; AND
One (1) year experience working with and safely operating Sculpture and 3D equipment, including but not limited to radial arm saw, band saw, drill press, compound miter saw and various hand tools; AND
One (1) year experience working with and safely operating gas and electric kilns, including but not limited to Raku and Alpine Kilns; AND
One (1) year experience loading and firing kilns for Saggar, Cone 9 and Bisque firings.
