Data Center Optic Fiber Splicer We are seeking a skilled Data Center Fiber Splicer with fusion splicing and OTDR testing expertise to support a major data center construction project. This role involves installing, splicing, validating, and managing high-density fiber optic cables for an expanding data center campus. Underground/Outside Plant (OSP) fiber experience is preferred. This is a long-term contract position with a 12-hour shift, 6 days per week, and a 32-hour overtime (OT) provision. Key Responsibilities: • Perform fusion splicing and OTDR testing to ensure low loss and high-quality fiber connections for data center build-out. • Install, label, route, and terminate fiber optic cables in underground environments and/or above-ground OSP facilities as required. • Prepare, clean, and inspect fiber components, connectors, and splicing sleeves; maintain meticulous splice schedules and documentation. • Coordinate with project team, engineers, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of fiber infrastructure milestones. • Safety-minded: proactive hazard identification and mitigation. Job Description Data Center Optic Fiber Splicer We are seeking a skilled Data Center Fiber Splicer with fusion splicing and OTDR testing expertise to support a major data center construction project. This role involves installing, splicing, validating, and managing high-density fiber optic cables for an expanding data center campus. Underground/Outside Plant (OSP) fiber experience is preferred. This is a long-term contract position with a 12-hour shift, 6 days per week, and a 32-hour overtime (OT) provision. Key Responsibilities: • Perform fusion splicing and OTDR testing to ensure low loss and high-quality fiber connections for data center build-out. • Install, label, route, and terminate fiber optic cables in underground environments and/or above-ground OSP facilities as required. • Prepare, clean, and inspect fiber components, connectors, and splicing sleeves; maintain meticulous splice schedules and documentation. • Coordinate with project team, engineers, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of fiber infrastructure milestones. • Safety-minded: proactive hazard identification and mitigation.
