Field Service Technician Chattanooga, TN $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS FESCO is hiring Field Service Technicians responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen & refrigeration equipment at our customer locations. Our Technicians also provide preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and respond to emergency service calls on equipment including ovens, fryers, steamers, warmers, dish cleaning equipment, walk-in freezers, reach in coolers etc.
Job Responsibilities:

The Critical Facilities Technician (CFT) is responsible for all aspects of data center operations related to critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems. They will participate in an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the Data Center. The CFT will drive continual improvements to the operational excellence of the data center by adhering to company standards and industry best practices. RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems
Work with a team of CFTs to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks
Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as a tool to manage all planned and unplanned data center work
Perform preventive maintenance on data center electrical and mechanical equipment

ABOUT THE POSITION
The technician ensures proper installation and operation of designated Astec products including installation, commissioning startup, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Technicians will consult with engineering to analyze and remedy problems and to train the customer employees in proper maintenance and operational tasks for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Deliverables & Responsibilities
· Perform installation under the direction of more experienced employees.
· Maintains positive and professional attitude with customers.
· Accountable for proper start up, operation of all electrical, electronic/control systems, and mechanical components, proper sequencing/Interlocking, and proper calibration, and applications of each of these systems
· Conducts operator skills training for selected customer employees including but not limited to start up sequence, troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical basics, and control systems operations.
·Generates written field service reports for daily activities; submit reports as required.
·Coordinate and communicate with Astec sales, engineering, and manufacturing groups for product or process issues, including warranty, design recommendations, and reporting of any/all damage to equipment during shipment or installation.
·Work closely with the Functional Leadership, Product Support Managers, and Office Support Staff to ensure accurate service reports, and associated billing.
·Be available for emergency dispatch; 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to support our customers and staff.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
·High school diploma or general education degree (GED); some previous work-related experience is a plus; or a combination of education and experience equivalent as deemed sufficient by management.
·Minimum 0-2 years' experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields
·Prefer 0-2 years of experience in the HMA, Concrete, or Combustion Industries
·Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits
·Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and electronics blueprints and designs.
·Knowledge of circuitry, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other power transmission equipment
·Willingness and ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally at a moment's notice.
·Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
·Basic arithmetic skills, computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Concur, and all IPS Control Systems)
·Strong analytical skills
·Ability to weld, with a stick and certain types of wire welding (MIG), use of a cutting torch, knowledge of steel fabrication, assembly, and modifications.
·Capable to manage conflict and resolve issues most positively for all parties concerned.
·Experience in working alone, or in a small group and being comfortable with independence on the job.
·Maintain positive, cooperative working relationships by working, acting, and communicating with various personalities getting along with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management working both individually and as part of a team.

Travel Requirements: All Field Service Technician tiers are 100% of travel, regional, international. These roles will require extensive travel and overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Manufacturing Environment
Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Technicians performing fiber optic installation services inside of customers' homes and running new drops from the service poles to the house. They may be exposed to inclement weather while working inside and outside customers' homes. Installers will be required to work near, about, adjacent to, and at times upon energized (“hot”) lines and equipment local power board. Installers must possess the necessary skill, knowledge, training and experience to protect themselves and their fellow employees, customers and third parties from personal injury or property damage while performing their jobs. SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
The Technician does not regularly exercise supervision over any other employees.
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME STATUS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires:
1. Frequent prolonged sitting, occasional prolonged standing, and frequent stooping, bending., kneeling, crouching and stretching.

Job Description
The Critical Facilities Technician (CFT) is responsible for all aspects of data center operations related to critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems. They will participate in an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the Data Center. The CFT will drive continual improvements to the operational excellence of the data center by adhering to company standards and industry best practices. They will have a mindset of ongoing learning and development. Any resource who has not completed Level I training within 30 days of employment, and Level II training within 60 days of employment, will not be allowed to work on shift by themselves without a resource that has completed both Level I and II training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems
Work with a team of CFTs to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks
Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as a tool to manage all planned and unplanned data center work
Perform preventive maintenance on data center electrical and mechanical equipment
Assist with the development, revision, and execution of approximately 200 operating procedures and preventive maintenance inspections, and perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, clarity, and continual improvement
Assist with the development of Data Center standards and policies when necessary
Resolve all electrical and mechanical issues within the Data Center quickly while minimizing risk and properly communicate issues to the appropriate chain of command
Respond to emergencies and critical issues as necessary and work independently and as a team, according to staffing and situation, towards complete recovery
Troubleshoot and document technical issues, escalates as appropriate, and ensure issue resolution
Assist with planning on all corrective issues
Assist and/or complete physical and logical installations of T5 services
Maintain accurate facility data including, rounds, PM work orders, change management, etc.
Maintain strict adherence to change control activities
Manage assigned workflow tasks in order to provide timely turnaround
Escort and work effectively with outside contractors, ensure they are abiding by critical facility work rules
Complete facility rounds at the beginning of each shift to ensure data center and grounds upkeep
Follow T5 data center corporate policies and procedures
Participate in facility training programs on a regular basis
Assist in facility operations, as required
Participate in construction and commissioning, as directed by the CFM
Work shifts to support 24×7 data center operation, and have flexibility in work hours to cover other shifts
On call emergency support as required
