Road Technician Classification Non-Exempt The primary responsibility of the Road Technician position is to determine the status of service needed for various heavy machinery and/or machinery equipment. Technician will perform the necessary service, preventative maintenance, repairs, replacements and installations or re-building of parts to restore the equipment to proper operation. Essential Functions Provide troubleshooting and after-sale support to ensure timely resolution to customer issues. Diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues affecting the performance of the machine control system. Properly install and update equipment, check cables and connections to the hardware. Provide technical guidance, pre-sale application analysis, product specification and customer demonstrations for Trimble products. Diagnostics and Equipment Repair. This includes liquid propane, gas and diesel engines. Electric motors, transmissions, drive axles and differentials. Hydraulic systems, brake, steering, electrical and lifting systems, etc. Perform routine, and operational maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to manufacturer's specifications.
