Job Purpose This position is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operation of facilities on the Els Center of Excellence (ECOE) campus under the supervision and direction of the Facilities Manager to ensure a clean, safe and functional environment for employees and visitors. Facilities Tech I performs tasks related to security, environmental, safety/inspection, custodial and event setup and breakdown. Facilities Tech I will work collaboratively with all organizations on campus to respond promptly and accurately to inspection, clean-up, and support requests at the direction of the Facilities Manager. Roles and Responsibilities Performs light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, painting and minor repairs to ensure the facility is in good working order. Provides custodial needs of the ECOE Provides security for the ECOE in absence of security guard. Regularly inspects all ECOE property to include rooftops, mechanical equipment and the like and immediately reports issues or concerns to Facilities Manager.
