THE ROLE
We are seeking a visionary Director, Creative who thinks beyond the screen and understands the power of physical environments, including retail. In this role, you will be the architect of our clients' brand's physical presence, tasked with pushing creative boundaries both expressively and graphically.
You will not just design stores; you will build flexible systems that breathe life into our clients' brand. We need a leader who can guide a team through the full creative spectrum, iterating from “mild to wild” to discover the perfect balance between avant‑garde storytelling and practical producibility.
In this role, you will lead a cross‑functional team to deliver distinct brand experiences and ensure brand content and campaign messaging are consistent and cohesive across all touchpoints. Additionally, you will join an embedded team, working onsite with the client weekly to oversee launches and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Closely collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of talented people across the agency and projects.
Lead the creative team in rigorous conceptual exploration grounded in our ability to deliver. You must be comfortable driving the work from safe, foundational ideas (“mild”) to boundary‑pushing, disruptive concepts (“wild”), ensuring we explore the full limits of what is possible before refining for execution.
Orchestrate a seamless story across all physical touchpoints. This includes directing the strategy for in‑store digital screens, physical print collateral, and subtle experiential details (texture, lighting, flow).
Partner lock‑step with the senior copywriter. You will work as a cohesive unit to ensure the visual environment and the narrative voice are inextricably linked and mutually elevating.
Distinct from one‑off installations, you will establish a robust, scalable design system for our client's stores. This system must be rigid enough to maintain brand consistency but flexible enough to adapt to different footprints and markets.
Infuse physical spaces with expressive design elements. You will determine how typography, color, and animation live within a three‑dimensional architecture.
Strong knowledge of visual design, user‑centered experience design, interaction design, brand development, and the creative process.
Ability to lead internal teams with strategic vision and creative inspiration.

WHAT YOU BRING
8+ years in creative leadership, specifically with a focus on Experiential Design, Environmental Design, or Retail Innovation.
A deep understanding of how humans move through and interact with physical spaces. You can read floor plans as well as you can critique a layout.
A portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to translate brand strategy into immersive physical experiences. Must show examples of work scaling from concept to built reality.
Familiarity with material fabrication, print production techniques, and digital display technologies.
Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with spatial tools (SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) is a strong plus.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic vision and creative inspiration to large, diverse teams.
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to clients and internal stakeholders.

About the Role
Reports to the Assistant to the Curator (RG) and Head Gardener Herb Garden performing duties to maintain Herb Garden areas. This is a limited-term role, currently budgeted for two years. The role is part-time, scheduled for 24 hours per week.
S/he/they will demonstrate a background of working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, geographic and socioeconomic backgrounds, using a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible approach.
Essential Duties
Daily Maintenance: weeding, watering, edging, grooming, and removal of debris, and minor adjustments in irrigation.
Plant Care: Pruning, planting, transplanting, fertilizing, and weed control under supervision.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols when using tools and chemicals. Will be asked to perform duties in other areas of the public gardens at the Huntington as needed.
Answer visitor questions and occasionally participate in garden programming as a Huntington ambassador.
Adheres to written safety policy, follows all precautions and directions in use of equipment and chemicals.
May perform other related duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements and Experience
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of grounds maintenance, such as general cultivation requirements of plants preferable as well as basic pruning and planting skills; must be able to perform weed and pest control; basic irrigation knowledge preferable.
Detail oriented, selective pruning experience preferable.
Good physical condition in order to stoop, bend, walk long distances, and lift moderate (and occasionally heavy) loads.
Competent in the proper use of hand tools, blowers, edgers and other powered equipment as required.

As a Psychopharmacology Resource Network Psychiatrist, you will consult with other psychiatrists on psychiatric treatment issues, provide education, conduct case reviews, and assist with shaping systemic practices related to psychopharmacology. Additional duties may include the facilitation of journal clubs, lectures and/or other academic activities, as indicated. This role includes evaluation, diagnosis, and the provision of treatment guidance and recommendations for inmates housed within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, primarily via telepsychiatry and with the ability to work from home.

The Community Development Department is seeking a Principal Building Inspector for the Code Enforcement Division, under the Housing and Dangerous Buildings Section. This position oversees area and program supervisors and ensures critical path deadlines are met for high-profile and dangerous building projects in the city.
IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT
The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills. We are looking for a candidate that will have the required skills to effectively lead a team of building inspectors, including the ability to train both technical and soft skills. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a two-position management classification. One Principal Building Inspector supervises the Inspection Section of the Building Division of the Planning and Building Department; the other supervises the Housing and Dangerous Buildings Sections and Code Action Team in the Neighborhood Services Division. The Principal Building Inspector is distinguished from the lower classification of Chief Building Inspector in that the latter have as their primary responsibility, the development, interpretation and application of building codes and ordinances while the former exercises broader supervisory, administrative, and management responsibilities, and functions more independently. This classification is distinguished from higher-level management classifications in that the latter manage a major division or department with full administrative responsibility for all department or division functions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
General direction is provided by the Chief Building Official or, if assigned to Neighborhood Services, from the Neighborhood Services Area Director. Responsibilities include the direct and indirect supervision of subordinate supervisory, professional, technical, and clerical staff.TYPICAL DUTIES
* Provides technical expertise in the review of residential plans and specifications for new construction/alteration/repair of residences and buildings; checks for compliance with applicable building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical installations, and for conformance with applicable codes.
* Supervises the assignment of inspection requests for residential and commercial construction and installation; participates in the more difficult field inspections and assists subordinates in resolving the more complex inspection problems; interprets building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codes and zoning ordinances to subordinates and the public.
* Assists in the development and implementation of department goals, objectives, and priorities.
* Recommends alterations to correct defects and ensure code specifications; enforces State regulations as they relate to building construction and use; recommends revisions to building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codes; assists the City Attorney's Office in detection and prosecution of code violators.
* Develops and implements training procedures for section employees; conducts special studies and analyzes results as needed; writes reports, letters, and other documents; meets with individuals or groups or the public to provide information; makes presentations in order to advise on

* Investigates complaints and inspect structures to determine safety of housing or buildings, if required; may inspect and test new and revised electrical appliances and equipment for conformance with local and national standards.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Experience:
Five years of progressively responsible journey level experience in the field of building inspection and construction, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in either a construction-related field such as engineering or construction management, or a management-related field such as public or business administration, or a related field.
Substitution:
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

The Organization
North Los Angeles County Regional Center “NLACRC” is a private, non-profit agency that is contracted with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. NLACRC is

SCOPE: Provides information, advocacy, and case management stabilization services for consumer participants of the Self- Determination Program (SDP).
SUPERVISION: Receives general supervision from Consumer Services Supervisor/Manager.

1. Establish the individual budget, associated spending plan, and case management services to consumers registering and/or participating in Self-Determination Program services, including coordination and facilitation of individual program planning to identify SDP-

3. Assists in the transfer of funds originally distributed to any budget category to another budget category or categories, as identified in statute and/or regulation.

6. Works with Independent Facilitators and Financial Management Services providers who can assist with person-centered planning process, payments and provide employee-related services.
7. Initiates and responds to consumer, family, service provider, and outside agency communications on topics including but not limited to SDP-related service eligibility and SDP-related problem resolution.
8. Schedule and attend interdisciplinary meetings with individuals served, family members, service providers, advocates, etc.
9. May require re-training staff on needed areas that will be identified.
10. Shadows and coaches CSCs in the field when planning and conducting meetings.
11. Assist in addressing issues specific to service delivery and program planning including assessing service provision within SDP.
12. May be asked to perform other tasks/ activities to ensure that applicable timelines, performance measures and customer service goals are met.
13. Identify barriers to service delivery and implement culturally sensitive strategies that embody empathy, trust, and respect; comfort working in

The Department of Public Works, Parking Services Division, is seeking an Accounting Technician to assist the division's Fiscal Team. This position will be responsible for tracking, reconciling, and recording revenues for the various business lines. The position will also be responsible for monthly billing, preparing financial reports, providing customer service, and gathering data.
IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT
The ideal candidate will have the ability to focus and manage competing priorities as well as have strong accounting and fiscal record keeping experience with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. They will have the ability to meet deadlines as well as work independently and with teammates to ensure all contractual obligations are met. Skills in auditing, customer service, data extraction from various information technology systems, governmental operations experience, and strong Excel skills are desirable.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Direction is provided by a Senior Accounting Technician, professional or management personnel. Responsibilities may include the indirect supervision of accounting clerical and general clerical positions.
* Prepare and audit materials requiring analyses of supporting documents insuring that all entries and adjustments are entered properly in the system.
* Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies, determining corrective entries involved in maintaining accounting controls.
* Examine, reconcile, balance, and adjust accounting records.
* Prepare a variety of State, Federal, and local claims, statements, and reports from a variety of sources including preliminary data, accounting records, and computer printouts.
* Answer questions and advise on procedures in preparing accounting transactions.
* Provide data on monies due, collected, and delinquent for accounting information and annual auditors reports.
* Prepare and submit accounting information for data processing; reconcile any differences between accounting records and data processing reports; request reports and end of year printouts from data processing.
* Coordinate accounting activities with other City departments, divisions, and sections.
