Job Overview
1st Shift Part Time Warehouse Material Handler
The 1st Shift Part Time Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the fulfillment of Customer Orders by retrieving and stacking specific product and quantities as specified on the Pick Ticket/Computer Screen assigned on a pre-determined conveyor and, or pallet. This is accomplished by traveling throughout the Warehouse's Pick Area and building stable pallet(s) of product, meeting or exceeding Warehouse and Company expectations regarding safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Retrieves and places quantities of Cases of Product onto a pre-determined pallet as instructed by the assigned Pick Ticket, in a manner that is safe and builds a stable pallet of product, while meeting or exceeding Warehouse and Company expectations in safety, accuracy, and efficiency
* Travels to and transports pallets of stacked Product to different areas of the Warehouse via a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) - Pallet Jack - in a safe and efficient manner
* Assists in Warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping as assigned or as needed
* Performs daily PIT Checklist and alerts Warehouse Management of any issues discovered
* Corrects any mistakes discovered and informed of by the Checker to product and, or quantity
* May perform other duties as assigned
* Performs miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of a warehouse in a dynamic environment

The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist is critical support to the POD Model in the One Tier Sales Strategy in a flexible, 24/7 operation. The need for this role is heightened by the Future of Operations move of Dollar General and some independent groceries from Small Store to the Large Store channel. The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist will provide vacation coverage to the Bulk Account Merchandiser and Merchandiser, may be the first call point for late PM/early AM weekends ensuring proper route coverage, and acting as liaison between the customer, merchandiser and driver for order refusals, and inventory overload. The BAM Specialist may execute weekend operational plans with minimal and additional influence on changes to the strategy. The BAM Specialist will keep the DSM apprised as appropriate.

* Inspects returning Route Deliver Trucks to determine if they are in the proper condition for the Check-In Process and performs Blind Counts of all returning Route Delivery Trucks to compare counts to the reported quantities of the returning Route Delivery Trucks. This includes communicating with Route Delivery Drivers of issues discovered and makes the needed changes to the final Load-In prior to finalizing the Check-in Process.
* Documents any discrepancies, changes, additions, subtractions, required to a Customer Order, (Miss-Picks, Pallet Types, Additional Pallets, Out-of-Stocks, etc.), on the proper Reports (Load Bay Diagrams/Pick Tickets), and provides information to the appropriate personnel.

Your Impact
The primary purpose of the Director, Government Affairs position is to lead the advocacy on behalf of Lowe's in the company's key strategic and high policy risk state and local markets for the assigned markets - South Divisions and/or Headquarters State. This Director position leads the advocacy before state and local legislative and regulatory bodies in those markets; coordinates with trade and business associations; maintains a grassroots network among Lowe's associates; and develops and leverages a strong network of external influencers. This position requires a dynamic individual with proven communication, management, and leadership skills. In addition, this position will support the political action committee (LOWPAC), including education, communication, fundraising, political giving, donor relations, associate engagement, and legal compliance. This position will also have responsibility for maintaining strong relationships with legislative and community members within the headquarter state of North Carolina or serve as government affairs lead representative for enterprise-wide initiatives (e.g., Hometowns, merchandising and supplier diversity initiatives - "Into the Blue," Command Center, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), CD&I and talent initiatives - military, major hub openings, Lowe's Foundation programming). Lastly, the position supports all Lowe's command center efforts and/or Global Security Operations Center, and is the key partner to ensure effective support during natural disasters, crisis situations and other high-risk issues facing the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leads the state government affairs team and external consultants within assigned markets, oversees the identification of issues and development of proactive plans and objectives, policies, and strategies on Lowe's priority issues in assigned markets, with a particular focus on priority markets as defined by the business leaders
* Sets the strategic direction and specific objectives for the team in assigned markets. Ensures that business priorities are integrated into Lowe's policies and positions. Ensures that comprehensive and rigorous government affairs strategies fully take into account legislative, executive, and regulatory options, including direct advocacy, third-party and think tank engagement, creative policy approaches, and opportunities to engage the public
* Builds and maintains relationships on behalf of Lowe's with key stakeholders, including state and local officials in assigned markets, trade associations and NGOs who have the ability to impact/influence the company's top issues in those assigned markets
* Works with senior leadership to develop and drives the organization's policies and objectives involving local and state government relations and policy
* Acts as the company's primary interface with elected officials and key community groups in assigned markets, and may serve as media spokesperson on certain issues, as appropriate
* Cultivates, maintains, and engages trusted relationships directly with a sophisticated political contact network, specifically in the retail arenas with state Attorneys Generals, other state government officials, local government officials, and other key government stakeholders in assigned markets
* Maintains a comprehensive understanding of legislation, emerging issues, and industry trends in assigned markets, ensuring the Vice President- Government Affairs and relevant stakeholders throughout the company are informed with analyses of the significance, relevance, and business impact of these developments in a timely manner
* Monitors and tracks proposed legislation and ballot measures (local, state, and federal), analyzes proposed legislative, administrative and ballot measure actions in assigned markets, assesses the potential impact on the company and formulates appropriate responses
* Directs contract lobbyists and consultants in assigned markets as needed to assist the company's efforts and works closely with trade and other associations in assigned markets
* Provides strategic support for the company's command center efforts and/or Global Security Operations Center efforts to ensure alignment with strategic priorities for the company in support of our associates and the communities we serve
* Works closely with the Manager, Programs in developing strategy for the growth of the company's political action committee, LOWPAC, and increased associate engagement in LOWPAC for assigned markets
* Develops and executes creative education and solicitation campaigns to increase Associate participation and engagement in LOWPAC
* Acts as key motivator and inspirational leader in creating a best-in-class PAC Champion network-i.e., designated company leaders and Associates who work together to encourage other eligible Associates to participate in LOWPAC-- providing timely responses to their needs, developing and hosting regular trainings, and sharing creative fundraising ideas to help them achieve their goals
* Manages, recommends, and distributes PAC contributions to the campaigns of targeted Members of Congress and state legislators and attends fundraising events as needed
* Oversees the PAC website, ensuring content is current and relevant
* Works with LOWPAC's Advisory Committee Chair and the Vice President- Government Affairs, organize quarterly LOWPAC meetings, including development of the agenda and all related materials
* Organizes participation of Lowe's Associates at various political and community events
* Executes PAC donor events at the Store Support Center in Mooresville and field offices as needed
* Ensures the timely filing of Federal Election Commission (FEC) and state political reporting, and ensures compliance with all state, federal, and local election law
* Prepares and maintains federal PAC budgets, develops PAC reports for internal and external use, and runs the day-to-day of the Company's PAC
* Works closely with governmental affairs colleagues, Public Policy, and others to lead the representation of LOWPAC to associates through written and in-person communications
* Presents to company executives in smaller settings and also engages larger audiences at corporate events
* Fosters an inclusive environment, where diverse ideas and perspectives are encouraged to get to the best possible outcomes
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Business Administration or related field. and 8-10 Years 10 Years Experience in government relations of combined experience working for either a corporate Government Affairs Department at the manager or above; working on a federal, state, or local candidate's campaign; and/or working for a federal, state, or local elected official
* 5-7 Years Proven ability to engage with highly successful team of federal, state, and local lobbyists, researchers, and public policy advocates. Strong, positive executive presence. Knowledge of the federal, state legislative and regulatory processes
* 3-5 Years Managing multiple large projects simultaneously in Fortune 500 corporate environment
* 3-5 Years Leadership experience - directly or indirectly, managing professionals and subject matter experts
* Experience with congressional staff or government relations consulting firm
* Demonstrated work experience with federal elected officials, political parties, companies, consultancies, trade associations, governmental agencies, or equivalent organizations

Job Overview
The Business Impact Specialist is a true "Utility Player" who is well versed in most Sales & Service frontline roles, including customer-facing and non-customer facing positions, to respond to and fulfill needs associated with staffing shortages, work stoppages, and other challenges that create gaps in our frontline staffing plan. Will be qualified and skilled to perform all job duties identified in the job descriptions of CDL qualified Delivery Merchandiser, Bulk Merchandiser, Space Management Specialist, Warehouse Laborer, Forklift Driver, and Account Developer and more as needs arise. Will be on a special response team that is called upon to fulfill needs in different market units and geographies. Anticipate extensive travel requirements including overnight and successive weeks, and flexible scheduling. Will normally complete work independently and be personally accountable for travel logistics and day-to-day functionality to satisfy assignment objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Covers staffing gaps competently to maintain established route standards and sales and to prevent missing important opportunities, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained
* Orders, fills, merchandises, and rotates products on displays, cold vaults, and cooler equipment, according to Company standards
* Capable of any specified activities per route discipline (bulk, conventional, full service, and cold bottle)
* Handles urgent customer needs to meet commitments made to customers in a timely, consistent, and professional manner, through partnering with the sales & service, warehouse, and customer management teams
* Assist supervisor to help with projects, tasks across the territory, and other duties as assigned
* Fill all shelves, racks, displays, and equipment and places proper POS items. Inspects work area for cleanliness, verifies sets are in accordance to the plan-o-gram. Adjusts any shelves, moves products, displays, or racks as required
* Communicates sales opportunities to the sales team and, or customer

* Ensures all Outbound loads are secured and safe by applying protective wrapping as needed and that the proper documentation is attached (STO). Loads and unloads trailers as needed to support delivery activities following CCCI SOPs by updating SAP, CONA via handhelds to ensure accurate accountability for loads Inbound and outbound to, from territories supported by Regional Operation Center
* Performs all safety and housekeeping activities including but not limited to conducting pre-trip and post-trip checks, reviewing daily documentation for accuracy, and keeping the work area neat and clutter-free
* Utilizes "switcher" to maneuver 53' and pup trailers to the dock as needed
* Manages, sells, and executes in an assigned group of customers on daily, pre-set routes, and generates sales orders based on the assigned delivery frequency for each customer. Done to ensure the day to day success of the operation and directly contribute to the financial performance of the company in terms of revenue, volume, and gross profit
* Executes applicable promotions and new products based on target lists and executes monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial plans to ensure excellence in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores for assigned customers
* Accountable for maximizing operational efficiencies by writing productive orders that meet drop size goals, minimizing shrink and out of date, ensuring compliance with routing schedules in terms of the right day and week, and product that is ordered is accepted by the customer
