    Matt Talbot Recovery Services, Inc., sister-company of Genesis Behavioral Services, is now hiring for Part-Time Transitional Living Specialists to work flexible hours (approximately 3 hours per day, ~21 hours per week at our Transitional Living Properties (TLP) located throughout the State of Wisconsin. Perform a total of 21 site checks per week at assigned TLP location(s). These checks may be split between multiple staff members per location. Site checks to include the following: Complete inspection of the physical space to ensure residents are in compliance with House Rules and Extended Supervision terms setby the Department of Corrections (DOC); including verifying they are within property limits, performing household maintenance, participating in lawn care and snow removal responsibilities, visitation policies, non-possession of contraband and maintenance of a drug, alcohol, and crime-free living environment. Maintain, monitor usage, and light upkeep of household provided supplies, including but not limited to: dinnerware, utensils, lawnequipment, appliances, furniture, outdoor areas, linens, etc. Ensure appropriate food is supplied when necessary. Create electronic reports based on observations for each site check (see details below). Meet with Transitional Living Director on a regular basis via phone, video conferencing, or in-person to report on the on-going TLP operations at given location(s). Complete required documentation, which includes: Incident reports on all program rule or law violations. Record daily summaries of resident interactions, resident consequences issued, suicide watch and related issues in communication log. Complete site check log each day to include exact time of all site checks and whether there was face-to-face contact with the offender(s) during each checks Maintain thorough knowledge of offender(s) criminal, family, mental health, employment, and substance abuse histories in order to assist in comprehensive supervision within the community. Assist Director in ensuring residents are maintaining sufficient food items for three meals per day. Collect, inventory, and secure property of residents who are unsuccessfully discharged within 24 hours of such discharge. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Hold accountability to TLP Director. Supervision is ongoing and occurs through individual consultations, in services, departmental meetings, and as-needed when requested by the DOC. Mornings are busy for our staff with our wood and ice service to each cabin, breakfast and lunch service, waterfront and housekeeping. Most staff is off in the afternoons before dinner service. This is the best time to be off work and either sitting on the dock, waterskiing or hitting the bike trails. Employee Perks Fun Things to Do at Coons When Off Duty We highly encourage all our staff to make use of the beautiful Northwoods and the resort activities available while not working. How often do you get to live at a resort? Activities: There is a beautiful trail winding throughout the resort property. Biking, jogging, and hiking are very popular. Everyone is welcome to explore. Basketball is a favorite. Tennis Courts: There are four courts on the premises. During the time the courts are not in use, all employees are welcome to take advantage of the courts. We ask the following things: Permission is needed, proper tennis attire is required (whites), tennis shoes only, no running shoes. Should any guest want to come and use the courts, vacate the court promptly and courteously. Waterfront: Trout Lake is one of Wisconsin's finest. There are two docks located on the waterfront. The swimming dock is for guest use only. All employees are welcome to use the boat dock. Employees are welcome to use the following equipment: sailing, water-skiing, canoes, rowboats, and kayaks. No motor boats. You must check out all equipment with the proper resort personnel. Once again, guests have first preference. Golf: Trout Lake Golf Course is located 2 miles north of the resort off HWY 51. We get a 20% discount! You must pre-register with Emily or Sarah due to limited spots available. Getting Here and Getting Around We are located about 10 miles from the towns of Woodruff and Minocqua. I would say about 50% of our bring an automobile with them. There is minimal public transportation and biking on the highway is discouraged.
