PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Assists with management of the daily operations of a designated classroom with the primary concern for the children enrolled. This could include lesson planning and curriculum implementation, licensing regulation and classroom design, and implementation of nutrition and developmental standards.
KEY ROLES:

Attend BGC staff meetings, one-on-ones with supervisor, community meetings and training as required.
Assist with resource development and family connections
Administer standards of behavior and discipline to ensure the safety and well-being of students
Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
Promote and stimulate program participation
Provide guidance and role modeling to members
Duties as needed, to maintain the safety and care of children and community
Other duties as assigned
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close contact with Club staff and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External: Maintain contact with parents or guardians in order to communicate about Club activities,explain or interpret Club guidelines, and address any conduct issues relative to members. May be required to communicate with or work closely with licensing agents and early childhood instructors.

Develop lesson plans and themes according to the guidelines set out in the Creative Curriculum.
Complete all annual training for SVH and required training for KDHE and additional training that support developmentally appropriate practice and best practices.
Communicate with parents and other teachers regarding feeding, medications, and other critical concerns.
Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health

Summary
Works under the direction of principals or their designees. Administers the classroom in accordance with Board of Education policies and uses instructional skills to promote the educational development of each student.

Reports in writing, on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day
