Position Purpose
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of construction and industrial equipment. This position is based in Baton Rouge, LA.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
Troubleshoot and repair excavators, skid steers, track loaders, boom lifts, rollers, and other
machinery.
Repair, replace, and rebuild components on hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and powertrain
systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, annual inspections, and certifications.
Diagnose hydraulic system issues.
Read and interpret parts diagrams, service manuals, wiring schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
Document work is performed and complete service reports accurately.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
Represent Gulf Coast JCB professionally with customers and coworkers.
Essential Job Qualifications
3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining compact or heavy construction equipment.
Vocational training may be considered in lieu of experience.
Welding experience.
Computer literate with ability to learn diagnostic software.
Strong history of safe work habits.
High school diploma or GED.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage tasks.

Pre-Procedure Preparation:

Verify patient identity, allergies, and consent forms before the procedure begins.

Pre-employment Physical

Drug and Alcohol Testing

Testing Procedures - Pre-employment

Methodology of Knowledge
Gly-Tech Services, Inc. provides a practical learning experience both in the classroom setting and as a hands-on experience. By doing so, the training provided is used a gauge to what the respective employee has grasped in the designated timeframe for the employed position. It allows management to ensure that the employee has the ability to understand and reciprocate information back before, during and after job assignments are performed. The critical process used is the requirements designated by our client base in that we employ the training necessary to satisfactorily provide well trained competent personnel. The training process by Gly-Tech Services, Inc. standards is that annual refresher training is performed with scope specific certification training also given on a need as basis throughout the course of a calendar year. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Distribute resident meal trays and nourishment.
Collect meal trays.
Transport residents.
Make resident beds every day, changing linens per facility policy and as needed.
Keep resident bedsides clean at all times and personal belongings in orderly arrangement; organize resident drawers and closets.
Assist with resident room changes.
Retrieve linen carts from laundry
Transport soiled linen barrels to laundry.
Organize linen closets.
Assist in distributing residents' clothes.
Distribute water and ice to residents.
Make sure water and call lights are within resident's reach.
Answer call lights that do not require direct patient care.
Assist with resident activities.
The “Sunshine Tech” may complete various other tasks pertaining to patient care as assigned by supervisor (EXCEPT tasks involving direct patient care). OTHER WORK VARIABLES:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform equipment inspections, tests, calibrations and servicing (within capabilities on the work site)
Conduct cleaning, disassembly and inspection, repairing and replacing all worn, damaged or faulty components (in accordance with highest level of training which has been successfully completed) and record all results in accordance with the manufacturer and United Safety's procedures.
Appropriately segregate all faulty equipment; identifying non-conforming products of equipment; identifying the limitations of the equipment and abuse that it has sustained by an improper application and completion of I/A reports for all equipment that cannot be serviced on the worksite.
Maintain initial receiving/daily/weekly inventories as required
Ensure all equipment serial numbers/tag numbers are documented on equipment sheets prior to release and verified upon return. Organize equipment sheets into client files for easy reference
Meet customer equipment needs and demands through the shop foreman/operations management on an ongoing basis.
Maintaining appropriate records management, including maintaining equipment distribution log (in/out disposition); maintaining equipment maintenance log and tests/calibrations; initiating incident reports for non-conforming/missing equipment, reporting incidents at the end of shift and providing equipment utilization information to the client as needed.
