Summary The Field Service Technician performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, onsite bolting, heat treating and/or field machining. Completes any and all tasks assigned by the Field Supervisor to meet goals of increased efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have experience with construction or mechanical work and/or possess knowledge of plant maintenance and repair work.

Minimum Qualifications

What do our Aquatic Technicians do?
The primary purposes for this role is preserving the natural ecological balance of our aquatic ecosystems while providing our clients with superior value and expertise in the field. Aquatic Technicians play a key role in preserving our environment. When these technicians service aquatics it helps to ensure the health of the water and the safety of those who use it.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Operate a motorboat multiple times throughout the day and attach to assigned vehicle
* Treat water for algae, submersed weeds, shoreline weeds, non-desirable buffer vegetation and any other unwanted vegetation
* At times obtain water samples to send to the lab for water quality analysis
* Provide superior service and fulfil all company contracts, service orders, and related customer needs
* Remove nuisance, invasive vegetation through manual removal efforts (occasionally)
* Work with experienced Aquatic Specialists in the field to gain knowledge on servicing aspects of water body management
* Great communication skills to discuss the service effectively with customers
Essential Job Functions:
* Ability to follow established procedures and practices
* Commitment to all health and safety guidelines
* Effective verbal and listening communication skills
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Mechanically inclined (preferred)
* Ability to operate trailers and aquatic vessels (preferred)
* Knowledge of aquatic vegetation (preferred)
* The work requires strenuous physical exertion and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach, and feel.
