1897 Began in 1897 as the local telephone company - Chester Telephone Company.
1936 Our company continued to grow and reached nearly 1,000 telephones by 1936.
1953 A new general office building was erected at 112 York Street in Chester in 1953.
1966 A network was completed which extended from Chester to Great Falls, Lewisville, Lowrys and Blackstock to provide local calling.
1989 Chester Long Distance Services, Inc, a wholly owned subsidary, was organized as a provider of long distance services in the company’s equal access areas.
1990 Joined with other cellular telephone companies in South Carolina to explore new technologies and combine resources to provide new services at cost effective levels.
2006 TruVista Communications becomes the service mark for all the Chester Telephone Companies.
2007 Acquired Great Falls Cablevision and Comporium's Lewisville cable systems
2012 Acquired Gumlog Cable in G.A
2013 Expanded fiber to areas of Franklin, Rabun and Stephens Counties in Northeast Georgia.
2017 Expanded fiber to in Fairfield, Kershaw and Richland Counties to serve anchor customer, Verizon Wireless.
2018 Expanded fiber to new areas of Rabun County in Northeast Georgia, including Lake Burton and Lake Rabun.
