Provide specialized support to the Branch Supervisors/Managers relevant to physical security equipment, programs and software. Provide ongoing feedback for improvements of physical security at our financial centers and assist with implementation of improvements as needed. Assist with security audits at financial centers. Use independent judgment as to financial center's compliance with physical security policies/procedures. Perform due diligence, gather vendor information and server as a liaison for insurance (i.e. property and business liability, business auto, CU bond and plastic card management). Analyze performance due diligence and be the liaison with security vendors (i.e. electronic security equipment, cash management companies, alarm monitoring company, janitorial services, etc.). Maintain high level working knowledge of the credit union's surveillance and access control systems. Must be able to retrieve photos and video based on transaction time, location and employee information. Provide Loomis ICO/Cash Order support to branch personnel and the Accounting Department. Responsible for setting up/deleting employee key cards within the access control system. Oversee the health and retention of all CCTV equipment on a daily basis. Place service tickets for physical and electronic security equipment, machines, software and CCTV, as needed. Responsible for the transfer or removal of physical and electronic security access upon termination or transfer of employees. Conduct a quarterly audit of vendor access and manage vendor access to physical locations. Maintain background checks and logs of all vendor access, as necessary. Provide extra monitoring and implementation of access to physical security alarm panels. Assist the AVP with projects pertaining to physical security (i.e., new builds and retrofits). Assist the branches with quarterly security audits. Update and create robbery kits, as necessary. Assist the AVP of Security with abusive and irate members. Gather sufficient information to allow a trustworthy assessment of risks and benefits of alternative approaches to any decision. Remain focused on objectives and consider the short-term and long-term impact of decisions and keep objectives in mind throughout the process. Prepare written communication through clear, organized and timely manner. Assist the AVP of Security in accomplishing departmental objectives, training team members on physical security risks, threats and awareness and identifying risk mitigation based on notifications received internally and externally. Scheduling Expectations The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex: You will be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment. Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need. Most reports will be done electronically, including the reporting of traffic crashes, searching criminal justice databases, reporting incidents and criminal offenses, recording and processing evidence, etc. Must demonstrate and maintain the ability to walk, run, jump, or dodge obstacles, and climb stairs, fences, and ladders in pursuit of fleeing suspects. Must demonstrate and maintain the ability to lift, drag, push, or pull people or objects (including motor vehicles), and the ability to use restraining devices and hands/feet for self-defense. Must demonstrate and maintain a high level of proficiency with the operation of pistols, shotguns, and rifles, in addition to various technologies and other tools. Work a variety of shifts, days off, holidays, and special events, must stay over during emergencies, inclement weather, disaster, personnel shortage, workload, or work-in-progress. Personnel in this position are also subject to on-call scheduling on a regular basis. Photograph crime scenes, victims, autopsies, traffic crashes, property damage, stolen property, and arson scenes, measure and map crime, and traffic crash scenes, and complete detailed logs and reports. Properly collect, preserve, package, and transport physical evidence from crime scenes, to facilitate its maximum potential for use in subsequent criminal or civil proceedings and ensure the chain of evidence/custody is not compromised. Perform preliminary tests on drugs and narcotics in the proper manner to identify the type of drug or narcotic, as well as measure the approximate weight, amount, or dosage unit, and ensure measuring devices are calibrated properly. Provide input to the District Attorney General's Office regarding the submittal of photographic evidence, physical evidence, and diagrams, and testify in criminal and civil courts, pretrial conferences, and Grand Juries. Work in conjunction with criminal investigators and other sworn members regarding evidentiary matters and maintain confidentiality of investigations and information concerning suspects, defendants, etc. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be a United States citizen. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have graduated from an accredited High School or obtained a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) recognized by the Tennessee Department of Education. Associate degree in criminal justice, or a closely related field, or 64 semester hours in such field with at least a 2.5 GPA or higher preferred. No applicant shall be considered if they have been released or discharged under any other than honorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States, and a certified DD214 shall be submitted to verify such. No applicant shall have any misdemeanor or felony conviction that prohibits the carrying of any legal firearm.
