Clark College is currently accepting applications for four part-time Campus Security Officer positions to work approximately 17 hours a week. These positions support the Security & Safety department. The Campus Security Officer positions are fully in-person positions, and we are recruiting for four positions, each with a different schedule. These positions are not eligible for benefits.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Enforce campus regulations and local, state, and federal laws.
* Patrol the campus by walking, biking, gas/electric cart, patrol vehicle, to enforce College policy and procedures.
* Check buildings and grounds for disruptive people, fire, property damage and other irregularities.
* Protect the safety of students and College employees and their property.
* Respond to emergency calls including fire alarms and medical emergencies.
* Prepare incident reports utilizing computerized systems.
* Enforce College parking and traffic regulations.
* Provide service to the College community including building access, parking lot escort and general information.
* Operate equipment including radios, gas/electric carts, and patrol vehicle.
* Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
* Operate as a Campus Security Authority (CSA); Complete all assigned training in Clery Act compliance
* Provide effective customer service.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in a security or law enforcement environment, or related field.
* Must possess a current valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
* Must have no felony convictions.
* Sufficient ability (i.e., standing, walking, climbing stairs, visual and auditory observation, and communication skills) to perform general duty security work.

* The initial appointment will include a 6-month probationary period, and the employee will earn permanent status after successfully completing probation.

Position Overview:
We are seeking professional Airport Security Officers to support operations at Portland International Jetport (PWM). Officers will maintain a visible security presence, provide traffic and access control, conduct patrols of terminal and perimeter areas, and respond to incidents in coordination with airport and federal partners.
This role requires a high degree of professionalism, strong situational awareness, and a calm, customer-oriented approach to de-escalating situations. Officers are key members of the airport's integrated security team, working alongside the Department of Homeland Security, TSA, City of Portland Police Department, and Airport Operations.
Security personnel are trained for several different posts including those detailed below. Working in conjunction with the airport and government agencies, the main priority of each position is to ensure that we maintain compliance with local and federal regulations in respect to each of the following:
* Maintain a visible presence at terminal curb front, ticketing, and baggage areas.
* Monitor and direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the terminal curb to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Conduct interior and exterior patrols, including perimeter fence inspections, parking lots, and restricted access areas.
* Monitor for suspicious activity, unattended baggage, or safety/security hazards, and report promptly to the Airport Operations Center (AOC).
* Perform nightly building and grounds checks to ensure all doors, gates, and access points are secured.
* Respond to elevator malfunctions, emergency call boxes, and assist with building evacuations.
* Conduct and assist with Aviation Worker Screening (AWS), vehicle inspections, and product inspections as directed.
* Enforce airport policies including smoking restrictions, curbside parking, and access control rules.
* Provide crowd management and assistance to passengers during peak travel times.

Allied Universal Event Services is looking to hire Event Security. This position is responsible for checking bags, enforcing access control and implementing policies and procedures for the safety of the guests and owners, while providing superior customer service for the best guest experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
Allow appropriate entry into each venue, may collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic coming in and out of the venue.
Screen guests during entry via bag searching, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
Protect guests, staff, and venue ownership group assets by watching for security breaches at vital checkpoints.
Respond quickly to potential crowd control issues and provide escorts for unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
Demonstrate an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.
Provide a positive experience for guests as they arrive at your facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location
Provide guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their entertainment experience.

We are staffing on-call flex officers for unarmed loss prevention security at a retail store.
Weekends required.

Security Agents typically work as needed 12-50 hours a week throughout the county (including mandatory weekend nights) and are offered full time regular positions after probation.
Unarmed pay for experienced guards starts at $18.00-$19.00/hr depending on experience, qualifications, and the assignment.

This is a swing shift position.
This position plays a crucial role in safeguarding employees, visitors, and property by controlling access to the SEH America campus. They also provide customer service to employees and everyone visiting our campus.
These positions are part-time (approx. 28 hrs/week) and may require working nights and/or weekends. Night shifts receive a 10-15% shift differential. Duties Include
Direct and monitor all vehicle access in and out of the facility.
Issue temporary I.D. badges for both employees and visitors.
Log in visitors to plant locations; verify ID badges, car passes, and vendor passes.
Perform security camera and alarm system monitoring.
Operate telephone switchboard to direct incoming calls.
Respond to emergencies and assists plant and/or emergency personnel.
Observe and report irregularities, such as fire hazards or leaking vehicles.
Secure gates at established times, logging in, and out traffic activity.

Minimum Qualifications

They control the main vehicle entrance gate, patrol the grounds, respond to emergencies, and carry out other assigned duties. The Security Officers report to the Security Manager and work at both the main Garden campus at 611 SW Kingston Ave and our Institute campus, located in NW Portland.
Primary Duties
Create a safe, friendly environment for patrons and employees while keeping a positive attitude
Become familiar with and enforce site policies and procedures
Observe and report incidents, criminal activities, or hazardous conditions as they arise.
Lock, unlock, and alarm facilities
Control vehicular traffic entering site
Work cooperatively with other Garden departments and staff

Transportation
The Garden is located at 611 SW Kingston Avenue, in Washington Park. Below are the transportation options for staff commuting to the Garden:
Parking: Staff may park in the pay-to-park spaces throughout Washington Park. The cost is $8/day, or staff may request parking permits from Washington Park. The Garden subsidizes a portion of the cost for parking permits; the cost for staff is $75/month during the high season (March - September) and $50/month during the low season (October - February).
Bus Passes: For staff who take public transit as their primary means of commuting to the Garden, we provide paid bus passes. Full-time staff receive a monthly TriMet pass, and part-time staff receive daily passes, based on their work schedule.
Transportation Stipend: Staff who take any form of alternative transit to get to work qualify for a $5 daily stipend. This includes taking public transit, walking, biking, carpooling, or getting dropped off. The only staff who do not qualify for the stipend are those who are receiving a bus pass through the Garden.
