* Destination Coordination:
* Greets patients and families warmly and positively, providing verbal direction and escort assistance to visitors and patients to ensure their arrival at the appropriate destination.
* Disseminates patient information to visitors as appropriate while respecting patient confidentiality and withholding restricted information.
* Serves as a reference source for visiting hours, general directions, package delivery, and general hospital policies.
* Issues courtesy parking discounts and free passes when appropriate.

* Assists with parking cashier functions and validates patient parking.
* Establishes tracking of patient belongings upon admission.
* Environmental Services:

Deliver or designate a team member (PFC) to deliver, the cart to the appropriate patient room and initiate telemedicine visits at the patient?s bedside by connecting the telemedicine provider(s) to the patient via two-way audio and video technology. Once consult visit complete close worklist items in Epic. Return to storage area, plug in and decontaminate. Perform weekly testing of the Telehealth consult cart hardware and software to ensure it is functioning as expected and escalate concerns to the IT Telemedicine department

Mission:
Our mission is to develop fellows who are both knowledgeable in the essential areas of medical education and who are ready to improve medical education within Emergency Medicine.
The program includes focus on the following areas: design and administration of educational programs (graduate and undergraduate medical education programs), curriculum development, effective skill in feedback, mentorship, and learner assessment, as well as development as a skilled educator across various settings.

1-2 years (2 year fellows complete MEHP degree)
Advanced degrees/other education:
Fellows can apply for the Masters in Education for the Health Professions at Johns Hopkins School of Education. They can also apply to the ACEP Teaching Fellowship or take courses through the Johns Hopkins Faculty Development Office.
General Goals:
The Education Fellowship is designed to address the following core objectives:
1. Fellows will work under the direction of a program leader to learn the essential components of both residency and undergraduate medical administration. This will include regulatory guidelines, certification maintenance, as well as programmatic structural requirements.
2. Fellows will develop skill in curricular development, learning how to perform a needs assessment, as well as research, design, and implement a curricular advance into an educational program in the department. (UME, GME, APP, Faculty)
3. Fellows will develop an understanding of both programmatic (i.e. curricula above) and individual assessment (learner) and will participate in feedback sessions to learners engaged in their role as an "Acting Assistant Program Director."

3. Disseminating Scholarship: Perform mentored peer review of nationally submitted articles, prepare a submission worthy manuscript, compose an EBM Consult submission, participate in Writing Accountability Groups, submit a local/regional/national didactic

5. Clinical: Fellows will work 900 hours at one or more than one of our clinical sites. Fellows will work in both supervisory and primary clinically roles based on both clinical need and educational value.
Fellow Assessment:
Fellows will be assessed across all of the domains above. The fellow and the fellowship director will create goals for the fellow to work towards over the duration of the fellowship. Fellows will be assessed on metrics determined at the beginning of the fellowship. The fellow will be evaluated in the standard way faculty educators in the department are currently evaluated (e.g. clinical educator evaluations in New Innovations, conference evaluations). The fellow will receive quarterly feedback on their progress towards meeting their goals.

Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Emergency Medical Technician Lead (EMT Lead) is responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and evaluation of EMT training programs. 4. Establish individual schedules for course content delivery that are based on the established course outline and syllabus. Distribute a written copy to students on the first day of class.
5. Make student assignments and/or clinical assignments to achieve established course competencies according to the course outline and syllabus.
6. Devise appropriate student evaluation methods to validate learning based on the program's established competency standards.
7. Evaluate objectively, each student's performance based upon established program competencies and standards.

Position Summary
The Emergency Medical Services employee provides medical care to ill or injured Vassar College students, staff and faculty in a college health setting, as well as renders basic first aid to ill or injured campus visitors in collaboration with Vassar College Health Service. This position also provides clinical support to the Vassar College EMS organization in order to deliver high quality and efficient emergency medical care to the Vassar College community. The employee will work under the administrative supervision of the EMS Supervisor and the clinical supervision of the Director of Health Service and the Supervising Physician.
Responsibilities
Assessment and treatment of routine, urgent and emergent medical and mental health care concerns as per NYS EMT protocol and Vassar College policies and under the guidance of a Vassar College Health Service provider.
Perform CLIA waived testing including but not limited to: flu, strep, rapid COVID, and urine dips under the clinical direction and training of a Vassar College Health Service provider.
Support Health Service after hours by conducting outreach to patients either virtually or in-person.
Assist with medical records management and compliance by reviewing and validating medical documents including, but not limited to vaccination records and newly enrolled student medical entry forms.
Provide welfare checks with Campus Safety officers for at risk students who may be identified by Health Services, Counseling Services, Case Management, or others.
Provide emergency medical response support during select campus events.
Provide first aid care for worker's compensation injuries and initiate documentation process and notification of appropriate personnel.
Perform contact tracing for infectious diseases such as COVID-19 when indicated.
Serve as clinical support for Vassar College emergency medical services organization during emergency medical calls.
Attend any mandatory training and/or Quality Improvement committee meetings.
Maintain necessary emergency response equipment, inventory and supplies.
Complete routine AED and CPR station checks and maintain inventory.
Follow all regulations regarding OSHA and hazardous waste disposal.
Follow all HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
Monitor and respond to the Health Service email account.
