UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a Casual, EVS Associate to join their team! In this role, the Environmental Services Associate cleans all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment, to meet Hospital and Department standards in order to promote the quality of care rendered in the environment. They will move equipment, furniture, boxes, etc. and remove and hang blinds and curtains.
This casual role will work variable hours, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
+ Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
+ Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
+ Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
+ Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
+ Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.

Responsibilities
Scientific and technical support for our business development executives (field sales) - directly impacting our business growth
Establishing and deepening relationships with customers and prospects in the assigned geographic territory
Establishing scientific credibility with target clients; engage in technical dialog with clients with a scientific background
Representing Metabolon Services in Scientific Forums by attending and actively participating in technical conferences/events to promote Metabolon's visibility in the market
Presenting Metabolon Services at regional and local customer seminars
Responsible for maintaining up-to-date technical expertise on our services offering and industry trends
Liaising with the Translational and Global Sales Team for strategic business development activities

Qualifications
Required:
Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or a related life sciences discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, or cell biology techniques.
At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role such as technical support, field applications, or scientific consulting.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into practical customer solutions.
Demonstrated success in delivering scientific presentations, product demonstrations, or technical training.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under time-sensitive conditions.
Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
Willingness and ability to travel 40-60% of the time.
Preferred:
Ph.D. degree in Metabolomics.
