We are seeking a Machine Learning/MLOps Engineer to join the Applied Intelligence team within Maritime Digital Production. You will help build the applied AI and automation systems that streamline business processes and shipyard workflows across design, production, logistics, and quality. This role focuses on operationalizing models, automating manual workflows, and developing the infrastructure that enables AI‑driven decision support across the Build Chain.
You'll work across software, data, and operational technology domains to develop pipelines, model‑serving components, orchestration logic, and monitoring tools that keep AI‑enabled workflows reliable, auditable, and safe. What You'll Do

Required Qualifications

Job Purpose:
Design protection and control relaying applications for substations with focus on Protection & Control Settings and SCADA Settings. Expected to develop or possess expertise in protective relay settings calculations and analysis based on current and evolving standards (IEEE, NERC, etc.). Provide design support to field personnel; develop and maintain sufficient level of expertise in use of CAD software for efficient production of engineering work.
Primary Functions:
* Ensure accomplishment of projects through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities;
* Generate plans and drawings for projects associated with protective relaying and retrofits;
* Perform fault studies, relay setting calculations and relay loadability studies; ensure North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) requirements are being met;
* Review calculations and relay settings performed by consultants;
* Create requisitions, track materials used in relay projects, and approve invoices associated with engineering work;
* Coordinate capital projects associated with protective relaying and control devices;
* Work with system protection supervisor to track work flow and resources;
* Perform line-testing and provide feedback and recommendations regarding system protection operations and maintenance;
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Requirements:
* This work requires an understanding of power systems, transformers, protective relaying, and electrical engineering principles. Additionally, expected to develop or possess expertise in protective relay settings calculations and analysis based on current and evolving standards (IEEE, NERC, etc.).

* Interpretation of relay documents and Protection & Control design drawings

What You'll Do:
This is an entry-level position and is responsible for assisting in planning and completing complex water and wastewater system improvements as well as other operational and engineeringprojects that may be assigned. Analyzes, plans, designs, and responsible for the operation of the Company's assigned facilities. Prepares operational and procedural manuals as required.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for preparing estimates, design layouts, specifications and operating procedures for the installation of transmission mains, distribution mains, services, hydrants, natural gas engines, electric motors, pumps, boosters, chlorinating equipment, storage facilities, treatment facilities and other mechanical and electrical equipment.
Responsible to prepare various reports and information requests as necessary. Assists with the update and improvement of the Company's Standard Specifications and Drawings.
Responsible for determining the requirements of specific projects and preparing designs to meet those requirements including the requirements of governmental agencies and their design standards. Responsible for assuring that projects are completed on a timely basis in the most cost effective and safe manner and makes sure that operation instructions are prepared.
Visits construction projects on a regular basis to review progress of construction and coordinates with Suburban inspectors and contractors. Physical inspection of construction in progress will be required to verify work completed prior to approving progress payments.
Provides design direction for water and wastewater pipelines ranging in various sizes; wells with capacities to 6,000 gpm and motor sizes to 500 horsepower; steel and concrete reservoirs and other facilities associated with water and wastewater systems including simple buildings, electrical and telemetry systems.
Responsible for assisting in planning a preventive maintenance program and a yearly maintenance schedule during low production periods in order to maintain top efficiency during the peak periods of water production and wastewater treatment.
Responsible for assisting in the preparation of an effective master plan and/or timely plant improvement and replacement program.
Responsible for preparing hydraulic analysis and water or effluent flow calculations and provides analysis for new and future developments as required.
Is responsible for writing proposals for contract projects. Identifies and establishes need for outside consultants. Prepares Requests for Proposal and participates in the evaluation and selection of consultants. Manages consultants to ensure compliance with the project budget and schedule and quality of the final product.
Responsible for promoting safe working conditions and assuring safety standards are followed.
May have other job related duties assigned by management.
May be subjected to prolonged periods of sitting. Ability to traverse rough terrain around construction sites is required along with climbing and stooping to review construction work in progress. Ability to lift light loads of up to 25 lbs.
