Primary Responsibilities
* Supervises and trains warehouse inventory control employees

Serco is supporting USACE to renovate the Power Building (J-Plant) and providing it with High Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse (HEMP) protective measures.The Logistician's primary role is to provide on-site receiving and accountability of construction materials and equipment. Tasks included inventory control, tool management, and hazardous material control and management. Additional duties include assisting Travel personnel with housing arrangements for arriving workforce personnel, meal card management, and return flight arrangements.
**This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance**
**ROTATIONAL SCHEDULE:** **_This is a year-round position; current rotation is 3 months on and 1 month away from the site_**
**In this role, you will:**
+ Provide on-site shipping and receiving materials and construction equipment.
+ Provide on-site inventory control and management of all SERCO assets.
+ Provide on-site tools management.
+ Provide on-site hazardous material inventory, control and overall management.
+ Provide on-site flammable storage inventory and control of all flammable materials and liquids.
+ Assist the SERCO travel office with housing arrangements for arriving workforce personnel, to include meal card distribution, room preparation prior to arrival, and return flight coordination.
+ Maintain inventory status in Serco's warehouse management software suite.
+ Initiate purchase requests for site supplies and misc. materials.
+ Proactively resolve material and logistical problems or issues with the Serco management team and other subcontractors.
+ Work with Serco's vehicle supplier to coordinate vehicle use and transport of personnel to and from the site.
+ Coordinate shipping plans and documentation with other Serco warehouse sites as necessary.
+ Track and report large purchase order status as necessary with support from Serco's purchasing group.
+ Be present at the work site, attend and report weekly plan updates as it pertains to logistic, hazardous material or flammable container issues.
+ The logistician typically reports to the Site Superintendent or Project Manager.
**To be successful in this role, you will have:**
+ **Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance**

+ Ability to travel over 90% of the time
+ Valid U.S Passport required (more than 6 months from expiration date)
+ A High School diploma and technical training in construction or technical field

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Manage and oversee all inventory operations for the site
+ Implement and maintain cycle count processes to ensure accurate inventory records
+ Ensure compliance with all inventory policies and procedures

**Salary Range** : $57,600 - $79,200/Year **Area/Shift: Put Away Manager** shift starts 5:30AM or earlier until completion The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for managing, executing and optimizing Supply Chain strategies as it relates to the daily distribution and transportation activities within assigned area(s) of a market. This may include, but is not limited to, functional responsibility for one or more departments such as receiving, order fulfillment, shipping/loadout and/or transportation. This position is responsible for P&L management, staffing, and ensuring the execution and accountability of KPIs, regulations and associate safety. This position will actively engage and interact with site and regional leadership to implement work process design and flow to improve performance and overall efficiency. The Manager, as a member of the leadership team, will continually identify ways to improve our operations and ensure that both internal and external customers receive the highest level of service. The Manager sustains a cohesive and effective team within his or her area of responsibility by managing and developing associates to achieve high quality and productivity in concert with the company's goals and company values.
Primary Responsibility
- Plan and Manage the efficient receipt, storage, order fulfillment and loading of inventory and/or transportation, through vigilant focus on KPI's, Quality and Service goals; utilizing forecasting methodologies and tools.
- Plan and Manage Multi-Departmental P&L's, with accountability for cost containment and efficiency.
- Implement Lean methodology and use the principals to lead continuous improvement with teams.
- Recruit, hire, train and develop Distribution and/or Transportation associates; ensure coverage planning for staffing requirements and resource allocations.
- Provide leadership and motivation for 20-30 direct report associates. Communicate effectively with associates and create an open communication style that fosters a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct associate performance reviews, ongoing performance discussions, and salary review recommendations. Monitor, observe and record productivity, quality and utilization for assigned area.
- Administer training, qualification, safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communicate and administer policies and procedures in assigned area.
- Ensure that the physical condition of the work areas are conducive to a healthy and safe working environment.

Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

- Leadership role in Distribution, Transportation, or Operations preferred
- Black Belt certifications in 5s or Dale Carnegie courses preferred
- Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and leadership skills, strong knowledge of warehouse and/or transportation operations and procedures, proven decision-making capabilities, ability to manage and motivate employees.
- Knowledge of Warehouse/Transportation operations, Warehouse/Transportation Management Systems, Inventory Control processes and / or logistics preferred.
- Cloud based systems and other ad hoc reporting
- Self-motivated, team player
- Ability to set and manage expectations; observe and monitor work progress
- Lead through change and deliver critical coaching and feedback on associate performance
