Ensure the safety of the workforce by clearly communicating and supporting the company's safety program and specific safety initiatives to all levels of personnel and management; observing and coaching employees in complying with safety rules; removing safety obstacles; complying with all governmental regulations including OSHA, Worker's Compensation, and MSDS; chairing an active and effective Safety Committee; and ensuring all equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner including the training and certifications of employees designated to operate equipment.
Assists the Branch Manager in defining and fulfilling financial objectives of the warehouse by assisting with the development of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, monitoring performance to budget regularly, interpreting the performance results, and adjusting goals and operating procedures to meet the warehouse objectives.
Maintain good housekeeping standards, appropriate sanitation, and security of the warehouse facility by working with a protection company in maintaining an intrusion prevention system; overseeing staff to prevent employee theft; and monitoring staff in housekeeping and maintenance duties.
Organizes and maintains the warehouse facility to ensure inventory accuracy within assigned locations. Requires frequent cycle counts of product and conducts physical inventories of warehouse goods as required by the business plan.
Fosters a team-oriented work environment that is productive and efficient. Creates and maintains recognition programs for employees to promote employee satisfaction. Promote developmental plans for succession planning.
Ensure proper lines of communication are firmly in place by conducting frequent department meetings, daily person-to-person contact, an open-door policy, and completing formal-written employee performance reviews.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse.
Position requirements:
Education and/or Experience: Minimum of a High School Diploma with a two-or four-year degree highly desirable; five to eight years related experience as a Warehouse Manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of warehouse operations, i.e., shipping, receiving, flow patterns, and freight.
Knowledge of financial operations, i.e., costs of operation, return on investment, and budgets.

Job Summary:
This individual will report directly to the Transportation Manager. Supervises all facets of driver and local fleet operations per policies and procedures set by the corporate office and regulatory requirements, with a focus on meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, efficiency, and service. This may span multiple shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and promote practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, and meet the company's quality standards
Take ownership and demonstrate the leadership necessary to achieve goals specific to Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency, and Employee Development
Lead by example to promote and encourage employees to strongly commit to safety
Establish an environment that encourages employee engagement, participation, and teamwork within and between all departments
Provide continuous leadership and support to drivers to meet or exceed KPIs.
Proactively seek and identify problems that need to be resolved and quantify the anticipated benefits of problem resolution.
Facilitate problem solving by leveraging/modeling continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate root causes.
Supervise, train, and promote practices and processes intended to safely transport products and comply with appropriate laws and regulations, while meeting the company's quality and safety standards to serve the needs of our customers.
Provide classroom instruction and on-road training, and ensure driver performance to regulatory compliance, policies, procedures, and safety culture.
Administer, monitor, and/or distribute training material to ensure staff meet or exceed training and safety standards.
Monitor, review, and maintain Hours of Service regulations
Facilitate driver safety meetings by Corporate guidelines
Understand, support, and follow management expectations in alignment with company values.
Conduct or participate in the interview process with new candidates.
Take an active role in the onboarding of new hires, including ensuring that training is complete to a satisfactory level.
Supervise and direct the work of others, including assignments of breaks, lunches, and other relief periods.
Make decisions and recommendations regarding hiring, terminations, overtime, and pay adjustments, as applicable.
Responsible for employee development, discipline, performance feedback and appraisals, administration of polices, time off approvals, etc.
Up to 5% - 50% domestic travel, depending on the time of year and geographical location.
Work is split between an office environment, production/warehouse facility, and/or in a Commercial Motor Vehicle.
Additional work hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.
Performs other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Required:
21 years of age minimum
Seven (7) years of industry experience
Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver License) and favorable driving record upon hiring and ability to maintain throughout duration of employment
Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable.
Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes
Ability to utilize and train employees in technology, processes, and procedures
Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities

Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Strong coaching and mentoring skills.

Ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language to ensure effective new hire training and ongoing communications about safety and quality issues.
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, preferred
Three (3) years of previous Commercial Motor Vehicle driving experience, preferred.
