Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Fast-paced manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse and Distribution Manager to lead the site warehouse and distribution efforts for a 24/7 operation with direct and indirect reports. As the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, you will report to the Plant Manager and will have Supervisors reporting to you. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Logistics & Compliance: Oversee accurate, on-time shipping/receiving and ensure strict adherence to customs and tariff regulations.
Operations Strategy: Optimize warehouse performance and resource allocation using innovative practices and demand forecasting.
Team Leadership: Direct staff training, foster a collaborative culture, and build a flexible organization to meet changing demands.
Financial Management: Monitor budgets, analyze expenditures to increase profit, and negotiate supplier contracts.
Facility & Quality Control: Maintain safety standards for dangerous goods and oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehicles.
Issue Resolution: Coordinate with other sites for seamless product flow and resolve customer or shipper complaints.

REQUIREMENTS for the Warehouse and Distribution Manager:

· Implement space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost and service standards.
· Monitors the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards.

· Assist with associate relations and training.
· Audit warehouse daily for compliance with safety, security, and quality principles and rules. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Promote safety among work crew.
· Transmit e-mails to DSV representatives and clients (when required), write corrective/preventive actions, complete reports for operations manager, follow-up with attendance reports, write counseling memos and write/perform evaluations. All communications must be accurate and professional.
· Conduct daily startup meetings, encouraging associates to provide feedback and work as a team and help with their development (training), coordinate operations with manager to ensure
completion of daily objectives, report and discuss any internal or external issues that involve the operation.
· Provide good communication and motivational techniques and ensure all company rules are followed. Provide management with information regarding labor/equipment needs to meet customer demands. Develop team leaders and ensure that associate expectations are being met.
OTHER DUTIES
· Performs other duties as required.
· Assist management as needed.
· Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation. Participate in established cross training matrix activities with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in multiple areas / departments and be able to assist as a backup associate when the need may rise.

Education & Experience:
· Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Under general supervision of the Operations Manager, responsible for maintaining all records relative to the Distribution Center's inventory and ensuring proper inventory levels to meet customer needs. Oversees the control of inventory by providing communication on purchasing issues between Customer Service, Inventory Control, Management, Receiving, Suppliers, other Distribution Centers and the National Replenishment Center. This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Follows predetermined company policies and procedures regarding controlled substances; ensures compliance with state, federal, and other regulatory agencies' requirements and laws.
* Responsible for reviewing and researching unfilled orders daily.
* Communicates new customer usage requirements to the appropriate contact at the National Replenishment Center.
* Monitors service level performances of new accounts during the initial phase.
* Supports compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and DEA regulations.
* Reviews purchase order (PO) alert query; contacts suppliers to verify purchase orders have shipped.
* Reviews partial receipts; reviews short supply reports.

Experience and Educational Requirements:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
