In January 2016, Salud established the first Santa Cruz County OBGYN Hospitalist Team, including Certified Nurse Midwives, providing care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the labor and delivery unit at Watsonville Community Hospital.

2017

In 2017, Salud increased our specialty care services by adding telehealth services, and providing access to in-house chiropractic and nephrology care.

2019

Halsen bought the hospital from Quorum for about $39 million in summer 2019 and quickly sold the entire facility and site to MPT for $40 million.

In 2019, Salud celebrates its 40th Anniversary.

2021

MPT agreed to lease the medical center back to Halsen for 15 years — and loan Halsen $15 million in a note that would “mature” on June 30, 2021.
