As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Enterprise Technology Employee Platforms team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Job responsibilities * Designs, develops, and troubleshoots innovative software solutions, thinking beyond conventional approaches to solve technical problems. * Writes secure, high-quality production code and reviews/debugs code written by others. * Identifies and automates recurring issues to improve operational stability. * Leads evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical fit. * Drives adoption of new technologies by leading communities of practice across Software Engineering. * Fosters a team culture of diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and respect. * Manages and maintains business processes such as configuration documents, JIRA practices, and service request tracking. * Leads functional testing to minimize defects and reviews Oracle release notes for impact analysis. * Ensures adherence to security and release processes to reduce risk. * Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring code meets design constraints. * Analyzes large, diverse data sets to create visualizations, identify hidden patterns, and drive continuous improvement in software and system architecture. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills * Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. * Extensive experience with Oracle HCM Core HR Modules (OTBI/BI, HDL/HSDL, VBS, Autocomplete). * Proven leadership experience. * Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. * Advanced proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages. * Skilled in automation, continuous delivery, and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. * Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. * Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes within disciplines such as cloud, AI, machine learning, and mobile. * In-depth knowledge of IT systems in the financial services industry. * Practical experience with cloud-native technologies. * Strong background in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills * Hands-on experience with leading Human Resource Information Systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or PeopleSoft. * Knowledge of data quality management, data governance practices, and master data management specific to HR datasets. * Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for protecting sensitive HR data. * Awareness of emerging HR technology trends such as AI and Agential Workflows.
