This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:
A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Engineer or Architect specializing in network infrastructure services.
At least 4 years of experience with cloud technologies (Azure and AWS required; Google Cloud Platform (GCP) desired).
A minimum of 5 years of experience designing critical network infrastructure for large/complex networks.
Experience with infrastructure and network automation platforms and coding.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions that improve availability and security.
Experience developing technology roadmaps.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Must be eligible to obtain DHS Suitability clearance.

Current open shifts are primarily on weekends, but this position will support the full time staff by covering other shifts as needed. We currently serve a community of over 20,000 residents and dispatch for two police departments, three fire departments and one ambulance service. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, the Internet and emergency operations systems. The selected candidate will have passed a background investigation. The position requires an individual willing to work in a fast-paced environment and who possesses a strong attention to detail. This is a non-union position.

Call taking for fire, ems and police
Some paperwork/record keeping responsibilities
Other duties as assigned to dispatch
Position Requirements:
