Does leadership effectively guide WingSwept toward its goals?
Employees are provided clear metrics for success that are simultaneously achievable while being challenging enough to be engaging and encourage growth. Leadership invites team feedback in decisions and make ethical, thoughtful choices that take all stakeholders into account and are communicated to employees clearly. Direct supervisors are approachable, competent, and care about their employees. Company invests in personal and professional development of all employees and rewards hard work. Employees are provided with all necessary resources and empowered to perform work successfully as well as compensated fairly for that work. Work-life balance is encouraged by a generous PTO/holiday policy and scheduling flexibility for life and family events. Leadership has carefully cultivated an enjoyable, inclusive workplace culture that values teamwork, accountability, respect, and integrity.
The recent transition to becoming an employee-owned company has helped employees to "think like an owner." Tuition reimbursement and the PDP (personal development program) bonus encourage and reward employees for investing in themselves. Comprehensive insurance options, even supplemental coverages such as accident and legal, offer employees a wide variety of options for protecting themselves.
Researched the company basics, practiced skills specific to the job I was interviewing for, familiarized myself with the preferences and responsibilities outlined in the job listing, and reviewed and prepared for popular interview questions.
They genuinely care for and work to serve their employees, customers, vendors, and community; make thoughtful decisions that consider both short- and long-term impacts and communicate transparently and proactively; lead by example and act with integrity; and help employees understand the importance of their work and the "why" behind metrics and changes.
Serving other employees, customers, and our community. Providing data and input to leadership to make informed decisions.
Second to none culture and caring leadership. People care about the work that they do here.
The salary is lower than what you could get elsewhere.
P4P
They take all opinions, questions regarding the direction of the company or what we are working on and appreciate collaborative efforts.
Nothing
Researching the company and the role that I would be in.
I know there are higher paying positions out there for my role.
I feel like there is a good diversity throughout the company.
Helping clients keep their businesses running efficiently.
Pros are: People Culture Benefits Workspace Management
Wages are not most competitive but makes up for it in benefits
Employee Owned
Willingness to listen and forward thinking with their decisions.
More diversity across the board
By practicing multiple times w/ my partner and going over standard interview questions and also preparing questions I had about the company.
Average
representation is there, could be better
Being able to serve our customers well on a team that genuinely works well together and likes each other. This seems to be the general feeling with everyone else and other departments accross the company.
The pros of working at WingSwept are: WingSwept cares about their employees, provides great incentives, gives back to the community, and provides a supportive environment to grow and succeed.
WingSwept is a smaller company so it seems like there may be less room for advancement than in a larger company (though I do in how we are working to grow the company to provide more room for advancement as needs arise).
I love that WingSwept is an ESOP, and I enjoy all the ways WingSwept shows their appreciation (team dinners, movie outings, etc)
They are approachable and genuinely care about the development and happiness of employees.
I don't think the company culture needs to be improved.
Researched the company, read the websites, and found areas where my experience matched the companies values and work.
I think it is fair, possibly on the lower side of average.
WingSwept is not a very diverse organization.
Succeeding in ways that benefit the whole company, and knowing my successes increase the profitability of the company and our ability to help the community.
The multiple cultural events that occur throughout the month that also allow me to bring my fiance and have a family friendly environment to have fun
My department has a great team that works great together and encourages each other both professionally and personally as I am trying to go back to school
They are all very approachable and friendly even though I may not work directly with them
I prepared for the interview by googling the company and seeing reviews online.
To my understanding I am being paid above the industry average for my level of education and experience
Interacting with the everyone at the office either through conversations in the hallway or the cultural events
I feel WingSwept has a good amount of diversity with no discrimination in the hiring process
Transparent and communicative leadership. Atmosphere of collaboration and learning.
none in particular
My coworkers are the biggest perk. Some of the different gatherings we have involving food are nice as well. Opportunities to grow and develop in different areas are also great too.
I thought the pros of working at WingSwept are, being included, not feeling like an outsider on your first day of work. The feeling of being with family. The opportunities and the value of knowing that your opinion matters.
In my experience the only con I can think of is the office being too quiet, needs some background noise.
All the celebrations that the company does. I have never worked for a company that has acknowledged so many of its employees and feed them like they do.
What I like best about the CEO and leadership team is that they are so approachable if there is an issue or if you pass them in the hallway, you can chat with them without fear of being judged.
I'm not sure there is a way to improve the culture, it is great as it is now.
I prepared for the interview by being myself and showing interest in the company
In my experience the4 compensation is more than the industry average.
The representation of diverse demographics at WingSwept is all encompassing. It doesn't matter the persons race, they pick the right candidate for the job.
My coworkers bring me the most joy at work. They are your extended family.
Culture is amazing. Leadership is top notch.
I work from out of state - wish they had an office in my town - or I could get moved to Garner NC.
ESOP is a great financial benefit, motivator, and galvanizing factor. Focus on work / life balance that permeates the organization.
Very deliberate in communication. Financial acumen. Planning and execution via EOS model.
I don't have a good answer here - there is a lot of focus on culture - events, slack is a hoot, vibrant office - coffee - break room is stocked I guess they could cater lunch or something - but that's not necessary.
I just tried to relax and be me. I didn't do any thing special really.
Well I'm not versed in industry averages - my compensation package is generous for my industry experience.
I'm not in HR, but my experience is that hiring is done on merit and we do have a diverse base of employees across demographics.
My co-workers are great - I know we are doing good work for our clients - and I know we have a heart of charity, so our efforts go towards helping organizations in a meaningful way.
The favorite benefit here at WingSwept has to be that the company recently moved over to become an Employee Stock Owned Company. The company is looking after its employees and always thinking of ways to take care of the team. There are many wonderful benefits to enjoy while working here at WingSwept.
In my experience, of the time I have been working for WingSwept, I would have to list my only con as being
Pros of working at WingSwept? There are actually a long list of pros to working for this company and will list just a few examples. Benefits, benefits is usually a top priority for job-seekers, here at WingSwept this is a top priority for the company. The team is well taken care of. Morale, morale is amongst the highest of any of the organizations I have ever worked for, the team here looks forward to coming to work and continuing to build upon an Company that they partly own (ESOP). Daily life within the company is strong with the activities, events and socials facilitated by the company it helps energize and motivate the team as a whole. Cant state enough that the work environment within the company are always welcoming.
I like that the CEO puts the Company and the team before himself. The management team is always looking for ways to improve quality of life around the Offices to make things easier for the employees while we are at work. I feel that the CEO and management genuinely care about each and every employee.
There isnt much to improve upon for Company Culture, management and the CEO have built a very welcoming climate here with a strong out reach of new arrivals to the team.
I will admit that the interview process was just that a process. There were several stages of the interview process and I feel that it conducted this way to make sure each hire is the right fit for the culture here at WingSwept and that with each hire allowing them to make a determination if the company is the right place for them.
I believe I am compensated well for my position and by some measure considering all of the benefits probably above industry average.
The Most joy at work would be making Raving Fans of our clients. Going above what is expected and the client acknowledging that they have tremendous support from our entire team. Knowing that the clients are happy with our service makes the job rewarding.
I believe that managment has done a good job with diversification but maybe a little more effort with this. I do believe that the hiring process has diverse demographics.
The amount of PTO we have and the benefits we receive
The grind of the IT life can really wear me out. Need better options and discussions on how to deal with burnout.
The training and the environment I work in is top notch, with the amenities to boot.
The leadership is pretty personal and listens to feedback.
The culture is close, not like a family, but a close friend group.
I did not prep for the first interview.

The office is really nice with great common areas and free food. The pay for performance plan. The ESOP plan.
They are accessible and open to suggestions
have events during the workday more than after work since I have to leave to pick up my son right after work.
I analyzed their website and came in ready with a plan of action for how I could help improve their online presence.
I'm not quite sure about it overall, but I believe it is fair in my case.
It seems to align with the percentages of the total US population.
I am getting to experiment and test new theories to further our company goals. WingSwept does a good job of instilling a feeling of ownership from the top down.
It is a company culture unlike any other. It's a place you're proud to work for and the people here are dedicated to see you grow as a professional and a person.
They are an ESOP and that part owner mentality is prevalent in how everyone does their job.
They are honorable, caring, intelligent, and personal. They communicate clear expectations, praise you in your successes and help in your failures. They are attentive to the needs of employees and the company and make it a point to be available.
Company culture is where we thrive.
I prepped by meticulously going over computer science related interview questions I found online, practicing coding problems, and writing down personal stories that could answer potential interview questions.
Salary wise lower, benefits higher
Not as diverse as some but I don't blame the leadership for it.
The people I work with.
I think the pros at working at Wingswept is the incredible culture and unwavering commitment to providing the best possible service.
There is nothing negative that comes to my mind when i think of Wingswept
My favorite perk about Wingswept is the 3 pm bonding over ping pong
I love how transparent and accessible every single member of the leadership team
I do not think there is anything that could be done to improve the amazing culture at Wingswept
To be quite fair - I put out some feelers about potential employment while still employed by my previous company and quickly fell in love with the environment at Wingswept.
I really don't have any idea. I am compensated fairly enough at Wingswept that I do not look at other salaries.
I feel as if we have employees from every walk of life employed at Wingswept
The most joy I receive at work is the genuine love and family atmosphere that Wingswept has created
