To implement components of the plan of care through performance of technical procedures and skills and performs secretarial/receptionist responsibilities as assigned. Maintain safe and clean working environment by turning over rooms for next patient; adhere to infection control plies and protocols. Checks-in patients, assists with patient histories, checks accuracy of patient information, prepares charts, may be called upon to chaperone or assist provider during examinations and other patient care activities. Prepares, processes, labels, and stores patient specimens and samples according to established procedures. Performs clerical duties, which may include answering phones, taking and delivering messages, and providing information to patients. Collects payments, maintains cash drawer, prepares daily cash reports; balances daily cash received to patient and batch encounter forms, posts payment to patient accounts.
