The Division of Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for accomplished visiting faculty in Computer Engineering to educate the next generation of global leaders.
Multidisciplinary research and exceptional teaching in a highly diverse and inclusive campus community are hallmarks of the University's mission.
Applicants should have a relevant PhD and demonstrate an outstanding track record for their career stage in both research and teaching.
The visiting position is for one academic year, and the expected teaching load is four courses (two courses per semester) with relatively small class sizes.
Successful candidates will receive some research funding for conference travel and/or minor equipment, and may also have access to internal competitive funds.
Additional research support includes access to high-performance computing facilities.

You'll explore eight essential life domains: physical health, mental health, spiritual health, relationships, finances, play, growth, and career. In each domain, you will design and conduct mini experiments to discover what genuinely supports your well-being, growth, and fulfillment.
Applying design thinking principles, including empathy, ideation, prototyping, and iteration, you'll develop strategies to navigate life's challenges with creativity, resilience, and intention. The course culminates in the creation of a personalized, balanced, and evolving four-year life plan that integrates your insights across all life domains.

The Department
The Department of Geology offers a B.S. in Geology and a B.A. in Earth and Environmental Sciences as well as minors in paleontology and geology. The Department's objectives include providing B.S. students with a broad, fundamental background in geology and its applications to prepare them to work in industry, to obtain professional licensure in the State of California, or to pursue graduate study. Further, we strive to provide our B.A. students with a well-rounded curriculum that prepares them for a variety of careers, including earth science education, state agencies, and environmental advocacy. The Department also provides important courses in the University's general education program and support courses for other majors.

Required Qualifications
To be recommended for appointment, the candidate must have:
A bachelors degree in Geology or related Earth Science field and/or extensive professional experience in an Earth Science-related industry.
Preferred Qualifications
An advanced degree in Geology or related Earth Science and/or specific experience in support of teaching Geophysics at the upper division undergraduate level is preferred.
Rank and Salary
Full-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Actual salary is dependent upon the number of units assigned, educational preparation, and availability of funds subject to any CSU system faculty contract salary increases.

* Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month.
* The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salary range indicated above is prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
* Selection as a candidate in the applicant pool, does not guarantee employment. Temporary Faculty appointments are made on a part-time, temporary basis and contingent upon department needs and funding.
