We seek exceptional researchers and educators whose work advances the science and practice of cybersecurity to join the Department of Computer Science or the Department of Informatics at the Luddy School. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work enhances the School's strengths in areas such as systems and software security, data privacy, human-centered security and privacy, and trustworthy AI. This includes, but is not limited to, research on trusted computing and system vulnerabilities, secure mobile and cloud platforms, the design of usable, inclusive security and privacy technologies, and secure and reliable AI systems. As part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University is seeking an Assistant/ Associate Professor of Anatomy who will promote Marian University's Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by providing instruction that will allow learners to acquire a competence with the relationship of normal processes of various systems of the human body and the integration and regulation of these systems in health and disease. This position contributes to the education of undergraduate medical students at Marian University Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-WCOM). This individual will serve as a member of a team of anatomy and pathology faculty in the planning and delivery of relevant content in a multi-disciplinary, systems-based medical curriculum. As part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent a wide range of faith traditions and worldviews, the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Marian University, Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-WCOM) is seeking applicants for a 12-month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacology. The successful candidate will join our collaborative academic community to contribute to the education of medical students and our Master of Biomedical Science Students, while supporting our Catholic Franciscan mission through a commitment to service and the holistic development of future physicians. Our curriculum emphasizes an integrated understanding of basic and clinical sciences to prepare students for practical, compassionate patient care.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a team of dedicated faculty to design and deliver pharmacology content as part of a comprehensive, systems-based medical curriculum. Faculty at MU-WCOM play a pivotal role in facilitating an in-depth comprehension of the human body's normal processes, as well as the integration and regulation of these processes in both health and disease. This role will primarily involve instructing students in concepts related to the pharmacology of human health and the mechanisms underlying the development of various disease states. While the position encompasses a broad range of pharmacology topics, a background in neuropharmacology is of particular interest to enhance the depth and breadth of our curriculum. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
* Provide instruction primarily to medical students in the DO program in various content components of pharmacology.
* Collaborate with MU-WCOM faculty in the design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the curriculum.
* Prepare students for success in pharmacology on the NBOME COMLEX-USA Level 1 exam and in their clinical rotations.
* Develop and maintain an active research program in pharmacology or a related discipline that contributes to scientific knowledge, supports student involvement in scholarship, and fosters opportunities for external funding and collaboration.
* Demonstrate excellence in scholarly activity through student-engaged research that leads to the creation and dissemination of new knowledge.
* Contribute to MU-WCOM, the University, and broader community through service, including participation and leadership in committees, professional societies, and student mentorship.
* Support the Catholic Franciscan mission of Marian University by fostering inclusive excellence, modeling values such as service, respect for diversity, holistic student development, and advancing a culture of transformative education.
Required Qualifications:
* PhD or PharmD
* Strong interest in teaching; prior experience in professional and/or graduate-level education preferred
* Record of scholarly activity consistent with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor
