The CMHC program, housed within Elon University's School of Health Sciences, emphasizes ethical and culturally responsive practice, addiction and trauma counseling, integrated care, and experiential learning-reflecting Elon University's mission of engaged, student-centered education. This is an 11-month position. Candidates can be considered for either a tenure-track or non-tenure-track position, depending on their experiences and qualifications. About the Counseling Program The Counseling Program at Elon University will welcome its inaugural cohorts of graduate students in Fall 2026. The program is aligned with CACREP standards and offers in-person, hybrid, and online courses, with campus access in both Elon and Charlotte, North Carolina. The program is currently pursuing initial CACREP accreditation. Housed within the School of Health Sciences, the Counseling program benefits from access to Elon University Charlotte's state-of-the-art interprofessional simulation center. While Elon University has long standing relationships with clinical sites across the State, the program's second year is delivered through in-person and virtual experiences, allowing students the flexibility to pursue clinical placements beyond the North Carolina region while completing their coursework online.
