    Claflin University seeks to hire a highly resourceful faculty member. We invite applications for this 9-month Tenure-Track position at the Assistant Professor rank. The successful candidate will teach lectures and labs and advise students in the Department of Biology at the undergraduate level. The incumbent should exemplify excellent teaching potential in general biology and in anatomy and physiology. PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Anatomy and Physiology or who have completed a significant number of requirements for the PhD. The incumbent will participate in faculty responsibilities related to undergraduate research, teaching, faculty development and service to the community. Incumbent will also perform other related duties assigned by the Chair of the Biology Department and the Dean of the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The successful candidate will hold an earned Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or closely related field with post-doctoral and/or teaching experience and will join a department committed to providing quality instruction and research opportunities to undergraduate students. The position is anticipated to be filled at the Assistant Professor level, although outstanding candidates at higher levels are encouraged to apply. Duties and Responsibilities: The applicant should possess a strong background in Fire Protection Engineering. The faculty member appointed to this position will be responsible for teaching a comprehensive range of core undergraduate courses in Fire Protection Engineering.
