Business strategy vs. corporate strategy

By Justin Parker - Feb. 20, 2023

The difference between business strategy and corporate strategy is that business strategy relates to attracting consumers or clients to purchase a specific service or product for profit, while a corporate strategy helps companies determine what markets they should enter and how they should enter them.

Business strategies are designed to help organizations remain competitive in their respective marketplaces. Companies use business strategies to reach goals involving company profits, growth, and expansion goals.

They also determine where companies have advantages over competitors and how those can be exploited.

Corporate strategies have to do with the diversification of business. They are executed to determine what markets a company should enter, how they should enter those markets, and when they should enter those markets.

Large business entities, such as corporations and conglomerates, mostly employ corporate strategies.
