Can I wear sandals to an interview?

In general, sandals should not be worn to an interview unless they are open-toed high heels or dress sandals. Typically, closed-toe shoes that give off a more professional look should be worn for interviews. You should wear shoes that match your attire and shouldn't be too flashy or out there.

There are exceptions to this rule. If you are interviewing for an incredibly casual position, such as working at a beachside hut, then sandals are appropriate for the position. You may also get away with fashionable sandals if you are applying for a job in the fashion industry during warmer months.
