How do I start a business analyst career?

A person who wants to have a career in business analysis needs to know both business processes and data analysis. This means while pursuing their degree, they should look to understand as much about data before entering the profession.

This means enrolling in classes such as data architecture, database design, data mining, data visualization, and so on. It is also important to have strong Excel and SQL skills before graduating.

Business analysts are expected to have about three years of work experience before entering the job. However, some employers will accept a master's in business administration in lieu of experience.

This means that once a person graduates, they should look for entry-level positions such as a data analyst, database administrator, or data report writer.
