This question is about mental health technician resumes.
You put your RBT certification on your resume in a dedicated certification section. Depending on the amount of experience you have, this should be at the top of your resume under your education or near the bottom under your work experience.
If you have more than one certification, you should include all certifications in this special section, and they should be listed in reverse chronological order. This means that your most recently completed certification should be at the top.
If you have more than one certification, you should decide whether all are relevant to the position you are applying for and eliminate any that do not apply.
In the certification section of your resume, you should list your RBT certification according to the following template:
Name of certification (written out in full)
Name of certifying agency or body
Date of certification/expiration (if applicable)
Location (if applicable)
So, for the RBT certification, it would look like this:
Registered Behavior Technician, Behavior Analyst Certification Board
June 2021; Homer, Ohio
Additionally, If your certification has an expiration or 'renew by' date, add that. Only list valid certifications that have not expired. If your certification is in progress, you can add the expected completion date.
