How long is CRNA school?

By Zippia Team - Jan. 8, 2023

CRNA school typically takes two to three years to complete in the United States. CRNA programs provide essential education for CRNAs through hands-on clinical experience and coursework.

After completing a CRNA program, you must then pass the National Certification Examination for CRNAs. Here are some reasons to attend CRNA school:

  • There are many job opportunities for CRNAs

The medical industry is always growing, meaning there are always new job opportunities for medical professionals. CRNAs in particular have an expected job growth of 31% between the years 2014 and 2024. This is nearly double the percentage of the expected job growth of RNs (Registered Nurses).

  • CRNAs have flexible schedules

Because of the large need for CRNAs, many of them can choose work schedules to fit their personal needs. This includes taking part-time roles, as well as full-time. There are also opportunities to work as needed, or be on call.

  • CRNAs make exceptional salaries

Most CRNAs are very well compensated. The average CRNA makes an annual salary of $160,000. And certain areas of the country give CRNAs extremely good salaries, such as Montana, where a CRNA makes an average salary of $243,000 per year.
